We discovered the bathroom outlet didn't work after 7 p.m. our first night and all the staff had left for the day. We were moved to another room the next day which was comfortable but not nearly as charming as the one we booked. Breakfast was included but I expected better quality and a wider variety than what was offered based on the $350 Canadian we spent per night.

Blind Tiger Inn is a beautifully renovated old mansion. We loved the room we booked on the main floor with a fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and towels were of excellent quality. There were several comfortable areas in the house to sit and read or enjoy a snack from the supply provided by the inn.

Not a big deal, but a good third of the light bulbs were out between the room and bathroom. Still plenty of light, but it was something noticeable that could be easily addressed.

Incredibly helpful and personable staff - gorgeous breakfast spread - and so many little additions (snacks, tea, etc). And the room was larger and much more comfortable than I'd anticipated! The bathroom was amazing!

The sheets had light stains. They need to bleach them better or replace altogether. The breakfast was good but would have preferred traditional eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes style breakfast instead of the oats, bagel, etc they served.

The location was great. The room was cozy. Jillian and Grace were very nice and welcoming hostesses. We appreciated their hospitality!

For the money and the reviews, I had honestly expected more and was sorely disappointed I did not like our room (13)...it was impossible to get out of bed or stand up from the toilet without banging your head! There was no mirror at all except for a 2 ft alcove mirror around the miniature bathroom sink- forget about putting make up on easily or even drying your hair at the same time as your partner is shaving. The bathroom was not adequate for 2 people to use simultaneously ( very very tiny and much smaller than my powder room at home). There was no TV, no radio. No smart speaker....basically no type of entertainment for the evening at all. The housekeeping was very poor...we stayed for 3 nights and did not have the bathroom cleaned or beds changed( or even made!). Definitely not what you expect for the price. Our velux blind was not working on arrival and no attempt was made to fix it in the 3 days we were there so the room remained in darkness. ( with the blind stuck down). The room was dark and drab as it was. All in all, I felt like we were sharing an airbnb house rather staying in an expensive inn - really wish I'd stayed in a cheaper chain hotel downtown.

Only one small item: pillows were flat and unsupportive. Would have been nice to offer a few different options, especially given the high quality of the bedding and the price of the room.

Amazing building and grounds. Well decorated and appointed. Bathrooms were modern and showers were terrific. Room decor, common areas, open coffee/espresso bar, breakfast (really outstanding) and balcony overlooking the massive garden…lovely. Staff were friendly and efficient.

My room wasn't entirely clean upon arrival, but I was informed that it was because some art was hung in the room that morning. Perhaps just some opening pains!
