Hotel halls and rooms smelled. Our first room wasn't cleaned properly. Hotel towels were not soft at all. rooms and hall walls had paint chipping. overall hotel is dated and not in great shape.

Our room must have recently been renovated but not cleaned thoroughly. There were mud streaks on the shower walls, duct tape on the hinge of a new toilet seat, bits and pieces of wiring on the floor of our room that were stepped on with bare feet, and the smoke detector was duct taped over. The hallways reeked of weed smell but that's not necessarily the fault of the hotel. They are updating the hotel which is great, but the contractors/workers that are doing the updates are doing subpar work and the finishes aren't nice looking. The owners are clearly investing in updating the hotel but they need to invest in new contractors.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Staff was friendly! They are making updates to the property and rooms with nice materials but contractors aren't showcasing those nice materials.

There was only 1 elevator working and it WREAKED of a cat urine smell. Other hotel goers put trash outside of their door.

I have stayed here twice because the price is good, but both times the front desk had bad service. The first time a staff member came in with hair dye in her hair and needed a room to shampoo before she could work. This time, we had to wait to check in because the manager was busy and the lady at the desk apparently couldn’t check people in, even though she was on a computer. That said, the staff are nice people, just not very professional.

The room was good and so was breakfast.

They advertise daily housekeeping but I never saw a housekeeper the entire stay and we were there a week! We had tp go down to the front desk to request more towels and toilet paper etc and take down our own trash. We saw people leaving trash in the hallways for housekeeping that did not get picked up :/ Also the bathroom was quite dirty when we got there.

The staff was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Breakfast wasn't that great, we went only 30 min. After it opened, and it seemed like everything was already picked over and what was left was cold and dry. However, it was included in our stay, and we had the lobby to ourselves while we are which was nice. It was a little hard to find initially, as it's entrance was behind several other hotels.

Main lobby was super clean, staff was friendly, pet friendly (did not apply to us, however it was nice chatting with pet owners), location was far away enough from road to avoid sound but close enough to easily get back onto highway and area attractions.

The proximity to the interstate made it quite noisy. Also, there were no sheets or pillows for the pull out. I called down to the front desk but the clerk did not pick up. I went down and asked for sheets and pillows. She pulled them from a cart that appeared it could have been housekeepings. Did not inspire confidence in their cleanliness.

It was reasonably priced.

Room was comfortable and clean. Lots of noise from upstairs kept us up unfortunately. Breakfast was okay. The juice machine was broken and there was no options besides milk and coffee. Some of the food was cold. Also the pool heater was broken which was disappointing as my daughter was looking forward to swimming. It was way too cold for her to get in.

I do not think there was something I did not like outside of staying on the floor with a bunch of loud and obnoxious teenagers.

I liked the fact that this hotel is right off of the highway. Also, it is in good proximity to a few good food choices.

My room was at the very left end and was adjacent to I-81. The road noise at night made it difficult to sleep. I would prefer to stay on the end of the hotel not adjacent to the interstate (right hand side of the hotel as you face it).

Room was clean, bathroom had new fixtures and the location is close to Virginia Tech. I like the breakfast in the morning and shower water was hot and lasted for the duration of my shower. I would recommend this hotel to travelers in the Christiansburg, Blacksburg area.

Was put out with little care, lacked anything close to hot. I didn't see a single attend any of three mornings. I went into the back kitchen area to find a towel to stop the juice try overflow spill from spending down and off the counter.

After the first night they ran out of bath towels! Don’t tell us to leave dirty towels outside our room if you don’t have new towels to replace them!

The only need for improvement are in the completion of the renovations. The walls (missing finishings, carpet binding)are still not done in the hallway and the decor is scarce if any in the main lobby. Seems sterile. Someone should vacuum the elevators once in a while.

We have stayed here each VT game that we go to. The staff are very nice and the breakfast area/staff is really good. Our room was nice and cool and updated.
