The pillows were ridiculously small. The shower head looked like it hadnt been used for 100 years, so full of rust. The bathroom door was so dirty and the toilet did not flush properly. Also I got no attention from the front desk, to tell them that the toilet didnt flush, so sorry for housekeeping!

The elevator floor was very dirty, and someone had dropped chewed gum on the carpet in the hallway near the elevator, which, of course, was stepped on and tracked. The breakfast options were minimal, and the hot meal options looked questionable in terms of food safety and edibility. For our room, a bathroom light was out, the shower was completely dark, and the hot water sink handle came off on its 2nd use. But the worst part was the state of our room door. It looks as though a break-in was attempted; the side of the door near the latch was very chipped up and splintered. We ended up placing our luggage in front of the door for added security, as we definitely did not feel safe after seeing this. The energy of the front desk staff at both check in and out was very dull, as well as the staff handling the breakfast; they were not necessarily rude, but they appeared visibly unhappy and lacked any bit of positivity or pleasantries.

There was some difficulty at check-in, because we had a dog with us. The person working the front desk recommended calling ahead since not all rooms are pet friendly. I sent a message through Booking the day before, but apparently it did not reach them. It all worked out fine, but it could have been smoother if the hotel had known about our dog ahead of check-in.

The room was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was much better than I would have expected. We were only stopping through for one night on a road trip, so it was exactly what we needed.

The man at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming, so was the man running the breakfast the next morning! The room was nice and clean, no overpowering "perfume " smells, just clean and fresh! Great little restaurant next door, fabulous margaritas and food, we will stay here again!

There was no one at the desk to take our keys when we checked out. I did not receive a receipt. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE. There was a chair in our room that had crumbs in it. Not much attention to detail by cleaning crew if I had to wipe crumbs away.
