We stuck at the balcony, door locked on us. Apparently it happens?! Someone should have told us!

We were on the first floor and we heard a lot of the upstairs traffic. Nothing too serious.

No surveilance cameras, when my bike was stolen from my beach front suite …. It was locked to a post and some tweekers came by for a visit at 0 dark 30 to steel my stuff…. Staff was helpful and also the local PD…. Despite that I would come back….

We were put in an older section. After we settled in they did offer to move us which was nice but we decided to just stay because we were there for one night. The staff was exceptionally nice!

Hotel restaurant was very expensive and the live music was very loud. The little gift shop had ridiculous prices: $12 for bag of smart popcorn??

The rooms felt dated and the stylings felt a bit unintentional ,the sofa in our room was tattered , we had a few bad meals and there were shortages of towels by the pool.

Crazy pricing for food, drinks. Charges for ordering takeout, silver ware. Rude bar tender. This hotel has been remodeled several times over the years yet still no one has installed vents in the bathrooms so it remains musty, moldy smelling.

Odd hotel, full suite property and clearly not full when we were there, we were ‘offered’ various upgrade options but as stating only one night declined them. Ended up in a remote suite with no aspect as all and a patio door opening onto a dark corridor. Charged $35 for parking even though realistically that’s the only way to get there, on the same trip we paid $10 for the ocean front at Santa Monica. Restaurant nice but limited choice and they say it’s sharing plates but many are not, odd

The breakfast included package actually doesn’t include breakfast but a $25 credit per person for breakfast. Given the fact that the breakfast entree is $50+ and coffee $14, plus tax and tips, the statement “breakfast included” is quite misleading.

The pull out bed was not up to par. Needed to be replaced. The front desk was very apologetic and helped to the best of their ability to insure I was comfortable.

It was easily accessible to the beach. Lots of activities for everyone. Customer service was incomparable.

Our living room door opened to a verandah that looked pretty shabby

We had a spacious suite with separate living room which we love. It was right on the beach , . The grounds are big snd spacious, but looking a bit tired.

prices at Henry's store were extremely high. I paid $17.98 for two bottles of Evian water. The menu at Ox &Ocean was very limited. And most of al!, there was a hold for incidental charges of $450.00 placed on my account that was supposed to be released upon my departure. All but $102.42 was released but it was a report fee. The issue is that I paid that with the room charge when I checked in. So, I was charged twice for it. I've gone over this Vista text with two people at https://guide.touchstay.com, and they've refutedit.

Additional parking fee charged not previously disclosed. Toilet needs to keep holding the handle in order to flush. Window in the bedroom full of dirt and dust.

Very nice architectural design. ADA accessible. Heated pool, which kids were enjoy even though it was raining. There are two elevators, one was broken down probably due to the earthquake, but we still were able to use the other one.

My only complaint is the restaurant has a pretty limited menu. We couldn’t eat any meals there, except two lunches. I would like to see more choices. I think another restaurant is planned and that will probably be an improvement.
