Beautiful riad with modern interior decoration in the rooms but with traditional inspiration. We stayed in two different rooms each night of our stay due to availability and both were lovely. Our rooms felt very private. Breakfast was delicious. We didn’t get chance to have dinner at the Riad but they were very accommodating to us bringing food from the local square to eat in the courtyard. Also great location for exploring the medina.
Our stay at the riad was an unforgettable experience. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with warm smiles and attending to our every need. The rooms were exquisite, beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan elements, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
The riad is very characteristic, indeed is situated inside Meknes Medina. The owner is very polite and his wife make a special breakfast included in the tax and if you want she could make also a traditional dinner. The house has and old style but is very clean and has an amazing terrace were we saw the sunrise and sunset. we had a real Moroccan experience there, we felt like part of their family ! Absolutely recommend
Beautiful ambience in a traditional Moroccan house. Lots of courtyard seating areas and indoor communal rooms with antiques and art to enjoy. Lovely staff, great breakfast and food.
The Riad is very historical, it had authentic ornament on the walls and super high courtyard. We got the very nice room next to the rooftop which was very beautiful. We liked a lot the bathroom with the Moroccan tiles.
Beautiful stylish room with fantastic air con system which was badly needed in July :). The courtyard of the riad is perfect for a relaxing time beside the small pool - traditional Moroccan breakfast is also served here every morning! We also booked in for a private hammam and massage, which we both enjoyed greatly. Location is a dream, right in the centre of Fes' medina, and with a breathtaking view from the upstairs balcony!
It lies in the middle of the historical city and provides you with the unique experience to live in a traditional moroccan house. Moreover Omar, the receptionist is very friendly and will help you estimating the prices of different things that you want to buy. The breakfast takes place in a moroccan decorated room, which makes you feel like the sultan. It is the ideal retreat from the craziness of the moroccan city life.
Nourdin picked us from our transfer, and guided us to the riad, in its central, Medina location, before welcoming us with traditional Moroccan tea in the beautiful courtyard. This was just the start of four days of wonderful hospitality from Nourdin, who had explained that we weren't guests in the riad, we were family, along with Mahmoud, Younes, and all the team. During our stay they organised transfers, tours, luggage storage, and even fashioned a protective tube for some canvesses purchased from a local artist before we left.
Le Grand Alcazar is run by two brother that are the nicest gentlemen. They are so accommodating and respectful. They have done such a wonderful job renovating the riad and keeping the historical parts of the building. We stayed in the turquoise room which was decorated beautifully. The courtyard is well kept and we loved sitting there to sip on Moroccan tea and eat desserts. The breakfast was also superb!
