Offering stylish rooms with shoji paper screens and Western beds, Hotel Hanakoyado is only a 6-minute walk from Arima Onsen Train Station. It features hot-spring baths and a massage service.

Arima Toys and Automata Museum is just 100 metres from the ryokan. JR Sannomiya Train Station is a 35-minute train ride away.

The staff is nice, very polite, friendly and helpful. We had arrived before check in time, she gave us free tickets for the Toys museum to use time in there. She had introduced about the facilities in this hotel and regulations. For private onsen, we are fall in love with Ginsen that is the best onsen. We can used the Onsen in Goshoboh for free before 8pm but we had already went there before went to Hotel Hanakoyado.

Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. Standing beside the Taki River, it features outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional in-room meals and is a 5-minute walk from Arima Onsen Train Station. The Japanese rooms have traditional futon bedding and a minibar.

I love their onsen and the exceptional services. My first time truly experience the real Ryokan.

Featuring Japanese cuisine prepared by award-winning chef, Tadamichi Ota, set in the Arima Onsen district in Kobe, 900 metres from Stamp Museum, Okuno Hosomichi features free WiFi access in the guest room and free private parking on site. Arima Onsen Station on the Rokko Arima Ropeway is a 6-minute stroll away. Guests can relax and soak in the hot spring bath on site.

Each room at this ryokan is air-conditioned and is equipped with a flat-screen TV. Certain rooms have a seating area where you can relax. Slippers are provided for guests' comfort.

The location of this hotel is secluded, tucked away from the shops, making it a very private and relaxing retreat. With only a few dozen guest rooms, it's very quiet and we hardly encountered other guests during our stay. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, and the surroundings were simply stunning. The room offered comfort, and the meals served were exceptional (even comes with cooking performances which was a surprise for us).

Guests stay in rooms with paper screens and exposed wood, and sleep in Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. An LCD TV, an electric kettle and a fridge are provided. Bathrooms are shared, but each room has a private toilet.

I spent two nights here with my husband. This was our second ryokan experience and Negiya set the bar sky-high. Here are a few of the many things we loved about Negiya: 1. The service: Every single member of the staff from arrival to departure has been delightful, attentive, compassionate and dedicated to our well-being. We had the pleasure of interacting with a great number of employees from drivers to managers and we were honestly speechless after several encounters. The kindness was unlike anything we have experienced back home. 2. The food: During our stay we had two different kaiseki dinners that were like two culinary adventures. Everything was neatly arranged and the tastes were both delicious and bold at times. We especially enjoyed our dinners - but the breakfasts were also formidable. It would have been great with an explanation as to what was on our plates, but our waitress did her absolute best trying to answer all our curious questions. 3. The building and facilities: We really wanted a glimpse of a traditional Japanese ryokan and Negiya delivered that and more. Our room had beautiful tatami mats a nice view of green mountains and tree tops. The two onsens were great as well although we preferred Higurashi over Daiyokujyo because it seemed newer and more serene. We paid 3300 yen for a private onsen one night which was a pleasant experience. The whole place has an authentic feel which we both prefer to a modern one. Your priorities may differ. At the time of writing we have just left Negiya and are waiting for the Shinkansen. We wish we could truly express our gratitude to the staff and hope that this review will shed some light on how pleased we are. All the best wishes from Christopher and Emma from Denmark and Sweden.

The Japanese style room was spacious and well equipped. The check-in was super easy, and the staff were informative and friendly. The location is in the heart of Arima Onsen. Dressed in your yukata, winter jacket, and clogs (graciously supplied by the hotel), you are a few steps away from the well-known Kin no Yu Onsen and foot bath.
