London itself was amazing.
London itself was amazing. If it had not been for the weather, it would have been perfect. We were able to see many of the attractions without too much inconvenience from the weather. It was definitely an adjustment, coming from Southern California where rain is uncommon. However, the sights were spectacular, the people were friendly and inviting and the restaurants had wonderful food to eat. We were amazed at all the historical sites, beautiful buildings with many architectural designs, and the ease in which we could explore the city using public transportation. London is an amazing city.
London is an amazing city. A clean and friendly city with professional taxi drivers that were full of useful information and fun facts. The Tower of London was an incredible experience for anyone that enjoys history. A functioning palace with entertaining Beefeaters that provided a glimpse of inner workings of a palace. The crown jewels were magnificent. The armor and ceremonial dress displays made you feel like you were attending court in a past reign. Although the City proper is small, London is sprawling. We could have stayed for at least another week. London has tremendous respect for beautiful gardens and spirits! We enjoyed several pints with our fish and chips in neighborhood pubs featuring local brews and were never disappointed! One of our favorite pubs was The Rose in the Albert Embankment area, a few blocks from The Plaza. The local brews and fare were only outdone by the staff. The assistant manager and manager ran a professional house and were so attentive and accommodating by the time we left, they felt like family!Theresa - 10Scored 10

London warms my heart! Even when it rains. This city is so diverse and has so much to offer - whether you're looking for history or art in museums, cozy pubs or creatively designed bars, a fun night out for dancing and singing with clubs, Drag events or Karaoke or just walking around to see pretty sights and buildings. I am a Londoner. Only moved out 8 years ago and on this occasion I was visiting family. To me, London is one of the greatest cities in the World; it is dirty in parts and mega busy and too expensive but it is full of every nationality,every food you could name and such incredible history. So many areas have really been reborn, Finsbury Pk (where we stayed over night)is one of them. The Tube is an incredible resource as are Ubers. They are secure and accessed by key card swipe at all points of access. The room was a good size with a king size very comfortable bed. Bathroom was well equip with an excellent shower. There is a microwave, fridge and kettle in the room making breakfast easier as it is not provided at these apartments. We were able to store our cases prior to check in and after check out which was very helpful.
