Best Western Plus Hotel Spring House, hotel in Rome

This property offers a Special Protection Program, a strict program of precise safeguards dedicated to our guests and our staff.

We came to Rome as a family of four so the split levels in our room was really nice. The location is close to the Vatican and felt very safe, with lots of food options nearby. The facilities were excellent and the extra touches were very appreciated (bottles of water daily, slippers and robes). It felt like a luxury stay. Less than 10 minute walk to the metro. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Rome and/or the Vatican.

Rome is a great city to go sightseeing.

Rome is a great city to go sightseeing. We found 3 hours in the Colosseum area to be too much and preferred our Golf Cart trip to the Appian Way. We had done the Vatican before so we avoided it as we heard the crowds were awful. Trastevere is a great neighborhood from which to base. Best tip we got was to visit the Testaccio Market for shopping and lunch.

I thought I could see everything staying 4 nights.

I thought I could see everything staying 4 nights. Turned out we could have stayed a week in order to see it all. But 4 nights allowed seeing Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel. Returned to Rome for one more day to fly home the following day and got to see The Pantheon (which is a must) and Trevi Fountain. The longer you stay the deeper you can dive into history and and visiting other historic sites. Save your feet if staying 20-30 minutes walking by taking a taxi to the Colosseum. Taxi rides are cheap. The. You can walk everywhere till you’re exhausted and taxi back to your room. I suggest not staying too close to the ruins or for example, the Trevi Fountain. The crowds are non-stop and loud. The restaurants are packed and since it’s a tourist neighborhood you will pay more. I stayed just beyond the touristy zone and had great food and wonderful restaurants. I believe I made the best choice in this when planning my trip. Note you can walk the 15-30 minutes. I have physical limitations and saved my walking for the historical sites which had lots of stairs. But I could have walked. My trip through Italy was 3 weeks so I planned to spend my energy for the sites I wished to see.

Because of i live in Istanbul monuments there were so...

Because of i live in Istanbul monuments there were so familiar to me.Because of there werent big wars happened in Rome statues and ancient buildings were in better condition than Istanbul,Italy's agricultural products were perfect like as vegetable ,fruit and dairy products. Don't even think get on the metro each wagon has its own pickpocket group like 3 -4 people, especially while getting on metro wagon very dangerous, they tried to disorient me and steal from my back pack and even from my leg pocket where my wallet was in,other they they tried an older man before my eyes and no body cared about pickpockets, people like dead in Rome about that, tried to report to polices they didn't care at all,tax free officer didn't pay my money and she told me she did, she concealed her badge, threated me to call polices ,polices there were like statues really,Buses are better I think, not crowded.Taxis there were working fairly standart 50 Euro airport to center center to airport,in other situations they use taximeter which starting fee is 3euro ,they are like standart Mediterranean people while drive :)

Rome is one of the the most amazing cities in Europe. The italians are also friendly but the tourist industry is not a complete sellout and Italians remain protective of their culture and country (as they should). It would be better if there was a way to curb the proliferation of street sellers

    It was an excellent trip.

It was an excellent trip. The activities we booked were superb. We booked a concert - Vivaldi Four Seasons, and it was excellent. We enjoyed it a lot. We also booked a Segway tour of the city at night and it was probably the highlight of the trip. It was very beautiful to zoom by the monuments lit at night, and to be able to go up and down the hills on wheels. I would do segway tours from now on everywhere we go that is available. The Vatican Tour and the Colisseum Tour were also very nice, very informative, great tour guides, we did not feel rushed.

So many things to see and do!

So many things to see and do! Love the Hop on Hop of Red Bus, great way to get an overview. Don’t pass up a visit to the Vatican Museum, so many treasures there! While Rome is a great part of Italy to see for all the history there, everyplace in Italy is wonderful. Don’t miss any of it! Levanto is especially lovely by the Cinque Terre, Montapulciano is captivating, Florence and Venice should not be missed either! You might have to make several trips! My next spot is the Dolomites and Lake Cuomo.

Residenza Maritti is a marvelous hotel. I have stayed here perhaps 20 times in the last 7 years or so, whilst living in Italy. It is quite simply one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at. The location is nothing short of spectacular; the staff and owners very kind and helpful; the rooms full of character and history as well as being spotlessly clean; the rooftop terrace has breathtaking views of ancient Rome. When I come to Rome, I always stay at Residenza Maritti. It is a wonderful place to enjoy the Eternal City from.

The location was great! We loved that we felt like locals while staying here. The room looks exactly like the pictures. Romantica Guest House was one of the best accommodations we had during our stay in Italy. Would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Rome. The check in process was also flexible. Our flight landed at 8 pm. We were able to stay in contact with the host and he met us at the Guest House right as the taxi was dropping us off. There was a small fee for late check in but it was very reasonable.

I spent my birthday weekend here (my first time in Italy) and everything was lovely! From the moment I arrived the nice lady at reception made sure to answer my questions, and even gave me recommendations on where to go in Rome (with a map). The suite itself was gorgeous and the location is beautiful. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants close to the hotel. I plan to visit Rome again next year and I will definitely consider booking here again. :)

We are definitely staying at this hotel for our next trip to Rome. Checkin was remote but very easy. The staff is so wonderful, friendly and speaks English fluently (after two weeks in Italy this was so welcoming!!). The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The area is nice, safe and in close proximity of the historical landmarks. Because it’s a business area (lots of bureaucrats) there are many good places for breakfast and lunch nearby.

The staff is amazing! They certainly go above and beyond to make you feel at home and are very friendly. The hotel was nice but the staff certainly are the shining star of our stay. The second highest would also be very comfortable beds and super plush pillows which are HARD (pun intended) to find in Italy. In the month we spent in Italy most locations had firm pillows and mattresses, but this hotel was happily way more comfortable for us!

Only 5min walk from Rome Termini station and 10-15 min walk to Colosseum and Trevi. I stayed in an UNA in Catania and when I wasn’t sure where to stay in Italy, I chose this UNA. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Surprising fluffy and tasty croissants (for Italy) during breakfast. The location was very good, just across the US embassy and many 5* hotels - fairly easy to reach, away from the tourist noise but still reasonable distance to all key areas in Rome. Much appreciated that they could book us a hire car to take us to the airport.

BEST hotel I stayed in while in Rome! Considering I stayed in more than 10 this is impressive. Incredibly kind staff. AC actually works even when it is 37 C or upper 90sF. Fantastic location, super friendly staff and the place has a very Italy/Boutique vibe to it. It's small, but so are most hotels in Rome. We've stayed in a few different places in Rome, and this was our favorite. It's also close to Termini without being TOO close, which gets a little grimy.

Fabulous hotel in great position in Rome. The most comfortable beds in Italy. No I am not kidding!! Great roof top bar/ breakfast area. Fabulous breakfast. What else, great shower too and product!! What more could you ask for. It's a perfect holiday right here!!

The building was beautiful and the location was absolutely perfect. We were able to walk all around Rome from our hotel. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was the perfect place to stay for our first trip to Italy.

The breakfast was better than all hotels we stayed in Italy. I had fractured my ankle in Florence before arriving to Rome. I was wheelchair bound and The staff was so accommodating and friendly.
