We absolutely loved Nice we visited Eza which was a beautiful village to visit. So worth visiting to weave yr way around the old village and beautiful little shops. We also went to St. Tropez which was also grt to visit on the way we went to a village called Antibes so quaint where we watched the changing of the guards Some grt little shops and eateries. Well worth a visit. We did a private half day tour to Monaco with other scenic stops on the way. We stayed opposite the Mediterranean which had some beautiful eateries down on the beach. Nice is well worth a visit :)

Nice is a nice :) location - a mix of hills with sea. Nice old city, nice shopping locations. You need more than 1 day, but, I'd say not more than 3. I'd add to the popular recommendations the open market(near the sea) during the mornings - you can buy lot of interesting things + much cheaper - including also pastries.

Nice is what you choose to make of it: beaches, sea air, wonderful restaurants, snack bars, musical performances, artisan crafts, warm, welcoming shops, amazing French bread, museums, easy walking as far as you like, beautiful parks with fragrant blossoms, a tram that runs frequently whether you're going to the airport or other sites in Nice...
In a good location for walking to the SNCF main line Railway station in a few minutes for days out to Cannes, or towns towards Monaco etc. Also good position for main high street shops, restaurants etc and in the other direction the old town. Friendly welcoming and good efficient staff, spotlessly clean, wonderfully comfy beds and a good Buffet style self service breakfast. Decent air conditioned Gym and nice small outdoor seating area. This is a City Hotel, attractive and modern.
Would definitely use again and happy to recommend.
Exactly as it looks on line. Bright, airy, spacious, nicely furnished and well equipped appartment. Living area is very large room. Small balcony with side sea view perfect for breakfast. Quiet side road between Bd des Anglais (sea) and Rue de France (local shops). Tram stop just around the corner, from Airport to Port via Garibaldi (for old town). Lovely bakery opposite tram stop. Close to Musee des Beaux arts and Villa Massena - both included in museum pass (15 euro for 3 days).
The location was the best, right in the heart of Nice, got the tram straight from the airport and the hotel was a few steps away, also walking distance to the beach. Also, to note this place is VERY cheap for Nice so you get exactly what you pay for, don't expect a 5 star hotel when paying this small price. It's a great budget friendly option for those who want to stay in the centre of Nice, ideal for young couple or solo traveller.
The staff was wonderful. Very welcoming. I had a flight change that required a 3:30 taxi pickup. Due to the location in the old town I had to walk out to meet the taxi. The hotel made the reservation and provided very detailed help to make sure I knew how to get there. I was a bit concerned walking alone at that hour but the club scene in Nice ensured that there were many people out and about.
this was the highlight of our stay in France! Fabio was by far the best host. All his recommendations for Nice were perfect and all though our stay was only 3 days, we managed to squeeze in almost all of the sight seeing in that time. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms comfortable, clean and the coffee machine in the room and croissant we received every morning a lovely touch.
Fantastic staff on break in the city of Nice. Hotel Grimaldi as superb. The room, facilities, cleanliness, and advice were excellent. Very comfortable Hotel. Staff were brilliant and very helpful. Fantastic location for everything nice and southern France has to offer.
Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Thanks for the stay and experience. 😀
Great location - close to Promenade des Anglais and the Hotel Negresco. A short walk to the old town. The breakfast was good and it was great to be able to eat it outdoors in the lovely courtyard. The staff were quite friendly and reception was able to show us in despite our very late arrival. Having airconditioning was wonderful (and rare in France!).
The room was a good size (not usual for France :), clean, bathroom was also clean and of decent size. Actually, cleanness was the main pro for the hotel. The day manager (lady, I don't remember the name) was really nice and helpful.
Hotel is about 20 min walking distance from the beach and close to the Nice Ville train station.
Great location to be close to the water and old town. Francesco welcomed us warmly and that was nice. We loved being able to run down to the sea, take a swim and get back to clean up so easily. Breakfast in the morning was a good simple European fare: bread, jam, coffee and juice.
Proximity to the tram station to get to the Nice, France aeroport. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. The neighborhood is very eclectic and diverse. We had a very nice dinner at a close by restaurant recommended by the front desk when I asked for suggestions.
First time in Nice, very nice hotel. Rooms were great and the hotel itself was as advertised. Included a very nice breakfast which is a bonus when traveling with family. Hotel location was also ideal and close to old town/flower market and right across from promenade.
Nice, clean hotel.
Very good location, very quiet place, but in the city center, short walking tour to train station, trams, promenade, old town etc.
24-hours reception, friendly staff.
Breakfast could be a bit more varied, but it is typical for hotels in France....
One word:perfect! The view on the mountain is so pretty. And you could always swim in the swimming pool, especially in the summer. And you could find any facilities you need. Thanks to the nice household. Good experience in Nice. Fall in love with France.
Everything about the hotel met or exceeded our expectations. The staff was excellent. They were kind, helpful and friendly.
The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was excellent. We were in France for 2 weeks and this was our favorite hotel of all.
The hotel rooms are a bit old except for the bathroom, which seems to have been renovated, which was ok. The location is nice, close to the train station, tram, beach and old town. Shopping district is just next street.
Great hotel close to beautiful beach promenade and restaurants. Walking distance to Nice Old Town and to airport tram. Very nice breakfast! Super friendly and helpful staff.
We had an amazing time with a great lovation here in Hotel de France, Nice, the stuff’s kindness and the hotel’s delicious breakfast made our stay even more memorable.
Very nice hotel, conveniently located, close to old town and restaurants. Got a tram from the airport and only had to walk for 5 minutes. Great value for money.
