Amsterdam Rai is our go to hotel in Amsterdam. This is our 3rd stay and we will return. Everyone is very helpful, the rooms are clean and well organized and the location can not be beat. We have family that live within walking distance so Amsterdam Rai is very convenient. Hotel is location near lots of good shops and restaurants and what could be more convenient than being located right next to the metro? Restaurant at the top of the hotel is amazing. Views of the city are fantastic. Small convenience shop in the lobby has all the items you forgot to pack plus wine! Bar/restaurant on the 2nd floor is cozy with friendly personnel.
Next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk Train Station, MEININGER Amsterdam West has modern rooms with flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

Breakfast had an amazing selection. The coffee was excellent! The bed was very comfortable for us, and we loved the outer window closures that allowed us to darken the room to our liking. We are glad we paid a little more for our room to have the extra space for the bathroom area. The shower was nice and we relied on the provided soaps, shampoo and lotions. They do not have washcloths, only hand towels and bath towels. WiFi could be spotty at times. The room could have used a more thorough vacuuming. We would recommend this hotel and would book again/ stay at one of their other hotel locations.

The Best Culture and Nightlife this Side of a Canal
Jump on your city bike or hop on a canal boat and admire Amsterdam, the Venice of the North! The beautiful city houses, romantic bridges, iconic canals and street cafés create its unique atmosphere and give you an ultimate taste of its fascinating past.
Famous for its museums, most important of which are located in the Museumplein, Amsterdam offers you a chance to see unforgettable masterpieces by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Mondriaan and more. The Anne Frank House is a sobering reminder of the city’s more recent history. After a lot of walking, the Rijksmuseum is a great place to rest and get some extra culture before visiting Amsterdam’s lovely Vondelpark.
The medieval Old Center with the always busy Dam Square and the tempting Red Lights District is the most visited part of Amsterdam. Make sure to stop at Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, homes to the best nightlife venues.
Shop till you drop at Amsterdam’s most luxury shopping street, PC Hooftstraat, the most popular street market at Albert Cuyp or in the fancy design shops of the Jordaan district. Famous pancakes and frites with mayonnaise are a must-try! The more adventurous traveler might want to try the pickled herring, followed closely by a local beer.
All these attractions are just a short train ride from the Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport. Whether you want to stay at a cozy hotel on a canal, a modern apartment in a quiet part of the city or a room in the center of everything, Booking.com has a perfect accommodation for your Amsterdam vacation.
Amsterdamn is a true walking and biking city free car...
Amsterdamn is a true walking and biking city free car congestion. The architecture, canals and many shops and restaurants to visit are noteworthy. Love the attention to sustainablity and love of nature. An urban oasis for sure. Also noteworthy is the ability for order in a town that seems very libertarian without the use of excessive traffic regulation and police presence.

Amsterdam is a beautiful, bustling city full of young people. It's best seen by LOTS of walking or biking, if you dare. It's not very accommodating for the physically impaired. They are trying to cut back on tourists, as well. Although everyone I dealt with who relied on tourism for their living was hospitable, I got a feeling of animosity from some of the locals... especially the bikers.

Easy to get around, trams, uber, bus, all easy to use. no real waiting for any. Clean city. We didn't see any trouble, but didn't go around red light area. Restaurants around the Concert Hall are very good. Chang High and Bramble especially excellent. The food as well as the Staff are top class. We were here on Business this time so not much time for sightseeing! But will definitely be back for pleasure very soon, so much to see and places to go!! If you love shoes that are different go to `Floris van Bommel'.

Beautiful city, the Vondelpark is so nice, and the museum area is wonderful.
If you love cycling, it is the best way to get around, walking is also great everything is so close, and so easy to get around.
Lots of great cafes/restaurants to each that accomodate all budgets.
Food is delicious.
Love the farmers markets they are virtually every day at different locations.
Lots of fantastic museums to visit, time it so that you are visiting museums when the weather is wet, and visit outdoor parks when the weather is nice. Amsterdam is full of culture.
One thing that really stood out is how friendly the people are in Amsterdam.
Highly recommend a visit.
Only criticism I have is the weather, make sure you take a warm coat is can get very cold.

This was my third trip to Amsterdam.
This was my third trip to Amsterdam. The first was in 1977 and the last was in 2008.
I have read that Amsterdam is working to discourage tourists. I see why. It was CRAZY crowded. It was hard to find a place to sit by the canal and have a beer. It was hard to find a place to eat at night. Crowds, crowds, crowds.
My previous trips were wonderful. Strolling along the canals and stopping for a coffee and beer. Going to the Van Gogh museum and the Rijksmuseum and being able to look at a painting without some idiot taking a selfie in front of it. This trip was different. (Both previous trip were also in April.)
I was glad to see the back of it.
This is my place to go when I want to spend a weekend in Amsterdam. The place is so green and cosy that instantly you are transport to a chill ambient. The cocktails are really good in both places (Restaurant and rooftop bar) I like to choose a room in the 8th floor and I always pay a bit more to have a room with terrace or the Suite that has an increible V shape with awesome views. Pool and Spa are great too! This hotel for me has a great price/value ratio and I found it nicer that some of the 5 star hotels in the city.
Very friendly staff. And a welcoming multilingual cook for breakfast. The location is great: at a 10-minute walk from the main museums, in a nice area of canals (the way to go to the city center is beautiful). Comfortable room and bathroom with bubble bath. I also liked the afternoon happy hours with free access to quality tea, coffee and fresh beverage. Also easy to reach, even if coming to Amsterdam by car (park at P+R Bijlmeer Arena for cheap tariff, take metro M54 to Weesperplein, walk 10 minutes to the hotel).
The best hotel I staid in , great location in the city center a walk from central station and dum square but still a quiet friendly neighborhood near the water.
had a room with the view to the dum.
room was clean and they made my bad every day that was really nice. also there is free coffee and tea and they offer pastries in the main floor. The staff was super friendly and nice! got so excited when they gave me a bag of snack to my travel back home .
thank you for a greater experience !!
Rooms look exactly like the pictures! They've got a very cool chilled vibe in the hotel. There's a metro stop about 3 minutes walk from the front door. You can jump on the train and be in amsterdam city centre within 10 mins. So absolutely excellent of you want to stay outside the centre but be able to be in dam square within 10 mins of leaving your hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were lovely. We travelled as a couple and we are 35 yrs old so.
Top location in Amsterdam city center. Any location within the canal rings is walkable from this hotel. Plenty of tourist and food options right outside your door. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are very clean and size is consistent with other hotels in Amsterdam. Tram stop is right outside the front door and Amsterdam Centraal train station is a simple 10 minute walk.
Spacious room, compared to other hotels in Amsterdam. It s perfect if you want to go to an event in Ziggo Dome. The soundproofing is very good. Beds are comfortable.
The location is obviously far from the city center but it's very well connected (30 minutes by metro to the city center and 25 minutes to Schiphol Airport)and there are supermarkets and shops in the area
The location of the hotel couldn't be better! Step outside the hotel and you have the tram stop that takes you straight into city centre and also to the Museumplein. It is also within walkable distance to Amsterdam Central Station. Walk right next to the alley of the hotel and you'll reach the main shopping and food street! What a steal!
The hotel is in a great location; across the street from the canal, close to many options for food and entertainment; in/near city center and not far from tram and Central Station (Amsterdam Centraal). Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room and hotel was clean. It was nice that there was a mini mart inside the hotel.
The location was quite good and easy to find from the airport 🛫. Also, it's close to the city centre and major attractions in Amsterdam. The Heineken experience is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel and so are many other interesting places. I also saw the booking.com building at the city centre, lol 😆
It was the best affordable option we could find at the time of travel, loved the fact that there nearby bus and tram stations that can easily take you the city center or anywhere in Amsterdam. loved that it’s in a quite area with a lot of food and other stores nearby. I would highly recommend it.
Breakfast was superb. Location is perfect coz tram is literally 5mins walk from the hotel. To the city centre it takes 30 mins to be exact then you’ll Have to change metro from Amsterdam Zuid. Staffs are alright but they should be more efficient and concentrate on good quality customer service.
This hotel is perfect for business travel if you are in this area for business. City Center is about a 20 minute metro and the airport is about 20 minutes by train. The area itself is not the glitzy side of Amsterdam but that was ok as I was not looking for that.
The location is perfect, very close to central station and the city centre therefore everything is within walking distance.
I booked this as a last minute accommodation and the price for central Amsterdam and a 4 star hotel was perfect.
The location of the hotel is very good, 15 minutes away from Amsterdam central and 20 minutes away from the city centre. The room and the needs were comfy, not too big, just adequate. There is a market right next to the hotel.
The hotel is in the city centre very close to Amsterdam Central(7 min walking). Very close to the city atractions. Near the hotel very many restaurants and supermarkets. Good breakfast and very nice restaurant ! Nice staff !
The hotel is very nice with a kind and competent staff. The location is great with easy to access bus and tram lines to the city center and airport. I really would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Amsterdam.
The hotel is perfect located in the city center, everything is accessible by walk. The building is beautiful, an ancient and typical building of Amsterdam. The room was big enough for us, the bed very confortable.
Free parking, easy access from the highway.
Good location, close to Sloterdijk Central Station and 6 minutes train ride to Amsterdam city centre.
Good value for money
Friendly staff
The hotel has a cat! So cute.
Great hotel located very centrally to Amsterdam city centre.
Room was cosy, comfortable and very quiet.
Staff super friendly and willing to help with any enquires.
