Jump on your city bike or hop on a canal boat and admire Amsterdam, the Venice of the North! The beautiful city houses, romantic bridges, iconic canals and street cafés create its unique atmosphere and give you an ultimate taste of its fascinating past.

Famous for its museums, most important of which are located in the Museumplein, Amsterdam offers you a chance to see unforgettable masterpieces by Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Mondriaan and more. The Anne Frank House is a sobering reminder of the city’s more recent history. After a lot of walking, the Rijksmuseum is a great place to rest and get some extra culture before visiting Amsterdam’s lovely Vondelpark.

The medieval Old Center with the always busy Dam Square and the tempting Red Lights District is the most visited part of Amsterdam. Make sure to stop at Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, homes to the best nightlife venues.

Shop till you drop at Amsterdam’s most luxury shopping street, PC Hooftstraat, the most popular street market at Albert Cuyp or in the fancy design shops of the Jordaan district. Famous pancakes and frites with mayonnaise are a must-try! The more adventurous traveler might want to try the pickled herring, followed closely by a local beer.

Amsterdam is as stunning and brilliant as you imagine. Take your time, wonder and definitely visit Anne Frank house (book tickets 6 weeks in advance each Tues) the resistance museum (which is best visited ahead of Anne Frank) the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum.

Very nice capital to explore for four days.

Very nice capital to explore for four days. Or more, if you're going to visit several museums. A day's trip to Harlem and the beach there was nice, whereas the tulips in Keukenhof were nor really worth the majority of a day. A boat trip through canals and the Rijksmuseum were both worth their money and time.

The city is wonderful and everything we expected it to be.

The city is wonderful and everything we expected it to be. It is a very happy, friendly city. The problem is that the city has rude tourists. They dump their trash on the streets, turn over trashcans and spill trash or throw the trash around, they throw their cigarette butts on the ground, they throw their glass beer bottles around, and we even saw condoms on the ground. This is not the fault of the people of Amsterdam, who are out every morning cleaning up around their homes and businesses, just to have it happen again the next night. I would not recommend going to Amsterdam during the busy tourist season.

    Beautiful city! 🤩

Beautiful city! 🤩 I fell in love with the canals, architecture and cobble stone walk ways. Took me a little while to get used to the “rules” of the various types of bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, etc and which lanes I was able to confidently walk on. Unfortunately, it seems that there are currently no rules in place for smoking in cafes and restaurants, so I was confronted by many people smoking whatever they could and did have to decide to eat indoors to avoid this.

Amsterdam is the perfect city for a weekend break.

Amsterdam is the perfect city for a weekend break. The people are welcoming, and there's a fantastic selection of restaurants and bars. You'll find an unbelievable number of activities to choose from, such as taking a boat ride through the canals, visiting the 360 bar/restaurant in the A'DAM Lookout tower, and exploring the many museums and parks. The main shopping area near the city centre offers an abundance of choices catering to everyone. Another great reason to make Amsterdam a top pick is the excellent transport links, with an easy-to-use train and metro system and trams connecting the outskirts of the city to the centre. I highly recommend visiting!

I enjoyed my trip to Amsterdam very much.

I enjoyed my trip to Amsterdam very much. I met up with extended family members for a ceremony in a small village. While in the city we visited sites we were familiar with. We bought 3 day transportation passes and used them frequently. I recommend these very much. Public transportation goes everywhere a visitor would want to go. If you want to see certain sights make sure to get tickets in advance. We could not get into the VanGogh Museum or Anne Frank House.

True historic Amsterdam property, right at the southern corner of the city center - close enough for convenience, far enough to get away from the crowds. The Dream Room has a great balcony overlooking the quiet inner courtyard. Very comfortable bed, and small kitchen area - perfect for a solo traveler. Amstel Corner Hotel is really more of a pension situation. The owner is lovely and helpful, but this is best suited for independent travelers who need a safe, reliable place to stay while exploring.

The room was spacious, clean and had everything we required for a 4 day stay in Amsterdam. The connections to the train, bus and tram system were key to making travel easy, so the location is fantastic when compared to other hotels outside the city centre. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked just fine, and overall it was a fantastic experience. The hotel staff were lovely enough to give my partner a small gift for her birthday which we really appreciated. Everything was perfect.

I was traveling to Amsterdam for the first time and alone. I am a young female so this can be dangerous and I felt very safe at the Avenue hotel! Someone is always watching the external doors and must let you in, elevators are operated using your key and there is a do not disturb (dead bolt) lock. I only stayed three nights but felt like the location was perfect to be close to the city center but not in a loud area. All in all I got what I paid for and the place checked all my boxes.

The building is modern and located close to the metro station. The city centre is just around 20/30min away counting the time to reach the metro and the trip. The hotel is efficient and business oriented but still very confortable if you want to visit Amsterdam expecially if you have a car and don't want to spend too much of parking. They have a convenient underground parking space (22.5€/night) that is cheaper than leaving the car out on the street (4.50€/h from 9-19).

The hotel is stunning with magnificent views of Amsterdam and its surroundings. Despite being one of the biggest hotels in the benelux the hotel never feels crowded. Exceptional breakfast buffet (they even went as far as paint the eggs in different colours because it was Easter). City center bit far off (not walkable) but very doable when biking (e.g. donkey bikes).

Location: perfect by tram 15mins to city centre (Leidseplein). To Central Statio it takes by metro 40 mins or 2x trams 35mins. However, train is faster 10-15mins (but its a different ticket). P+R is excellent there if you travel by car (even cheaper as the Hotel offers 15eur/night). Pet-friendly. Our little dog was with us for 15eur/night.
