Staff was welcoming and helpful greeting us at curb to help with luggage. Room was spacious with separate door/room for bathroom which was nice. Large bathroom and shower. Pillows great on bed. Spectacular view of the water. Location was quiet. Was a bit further from airport than envisioned, but no issue with 4:30am Bolt other than high price for prebooking to ensure had transportation. Palácio das Especiarias, hotel in Lisbon

Enjoying a privileged location in the historic center of Lisbon, the property is a former palace whose construction dates back to the 16th century.

The property was unique and lovely. It felt elegant and comfortable. The staff were friendly and talkative. Their English was fantastic. They provided wonderful recommendations for food and activities. We stayed in the room with the river view and it was gorgeous! I loved having an espresso on the terrace. The water pressure in the shower was hard which was lovely. The breakfast was also an extensive and delicious spread. Hard to choose among the pastries, warm items and cheeses. They provided wine and a small cheese plate which we had in the evening before heading out for a reservation for dinner. They also kindly watched our bags after we checked out so we could get some more time in Lisbon. We also tried the Roman bath and sauna. The Roman bath was a little warm. My expectation was that it would be a hot tub. Still a lovely soak after walking up hills in Lisbon. This was by far our favorite part about visiting Lisbon.

It was interesting to see Lisbon for the first time. We did not realize how crowded it would be at this time of year. If we ever come back to Portugal, we would not plan to return to Lisbon because of the crowds.

People are very friendly, most drivers would happily recommend good sightseeing areas or good restaurants. The city is very dynamic and there are many activities that goes well into late night. Time out market was a great place to chill out, many food options all budget friendly but not skimming on quality. I have not had enough time to explore further due to it being a work trip but I am already contemplating returning for a proper holiday.

Lisbon is a beautiful and very alive city!

Lisbon is a beautiful and very alive city! it has a very special vibe. I was there 7 days and with what I saw, 6 months wouldn't be enough to visit everything I had in mind. Architecture is magnificent, there are lot of parks, museums, monuments and statues, restaurants and cafes. People are great, friendly, almost everyone speaks english, they are so relaxed and positive, and everyone is eager to help you. Night life in Bairro Alto is something you must see. Bolt app is the best for transportation and if you choose them, know that they have a different pick-up place at the airport, so you should ask airport staff of the policemen for instructions to find them. Near Lisbon are great tourist attractions like Sintra, Cascais and Estoril, that are definitely worth a visit. If you're planning to visit Castel de Pena and its park in Sintra, which are magnificent, you should leave the whole day for that. The best way to see the most of Lisbon is definitely by a motorcycle. The best pasteis de nata are, by my opinion, at Paul in Rua Augusta. The cheapest drinks are at Shorty's bar in Travessa da Cara. Sunset at Cabo da Roca (some 40km from Lisbon) is really special, but since Lisbon is a city of 7 hills, you can experience something similar at one of many miradouros across town. We preferred Miradouro da Graça.

Lisbon is great with friends or loved ones. The food is fantastic, and there is a great wine and snacking culture. I thoroughly enjoyed the sightseeing and walking around the city and felt completely safe. I'd highly recommend Palacio Dogrillio they had great experiential dining, Ajitama had some amazing Ramen, Rocco's decor was so beautiful, it matched the food experience and Bairro do Avillez had some food gastronomy.

We loved our stay in Lisbon; it was the first time that we had been there. The city has wide roads, wonderful green spaces and is full of colour because of the use of ceramics everywhere. The transport system is clean, timely and very easy to use. The people are warm and friendly. We stayed in a hotel close to the metro and that made a huge difference to our sight -seeing. We explored the old town, the coastal area and the museums and churches. We enjoyed a Fado night at a small restaurant in the old town. One day we went out to Sintra and had the most wonderful experience exploring the palaces and gardens in this delightful town. The Portugese food was such a treat. We ate in lots of different venues from high end restaurants to the exciting Time Out market. All in all Lisbon does not disappoint. We would go back in a heart beat.

Lisbon is a fabulous place to visit.

Lisbon is a fabulous place to visit. It has everything you could want: excitement, entertainment, museums, theatres, bars & restaurants of all kinds. It is very picturesque with the lovely yellow trams and the calcada pavements. It is challenging to walk it as there are some extremely steep hills. We walked to the Castelo de S. Jorge and it is really hard going. You should spend a few days there as it would take a full day to do the museums & Jeronimas Monastery in Belem and you'd would only have touched the surface of this magnificent city. If you only have a short time there it might be better to go with a guide.

Even better than the photos. Super spacious, great light and air flow, private and very quiet. Walk to all the sights , no need to use a taxi nor metro. Restaurants, cafes, grocery is nearby. I could have spent 60 nights in this apartment. It's equivalent to a 5 star hotel. Outdoor space is private. High ceilings , beautiful , solid quality furnishings , tastefully decorated. Kitchen has everything you need plus a Nespresso machine. I didn't cook because the restaurant food in Lisbon is delicious.

Everything… From being picked up from the airport in a Tesla (pipedream to own one of these) to the fantastic service we received by every person along the way cannot recommend this place enough. They even went above and beyond when we thought Lisbon was about to be locked down due to covid (it ended up being fine). The place itself is fantastic and the food is great too. Highly recommend the breakfast. My partner and I travel a lot and this is one of the best 4 star hotels we have ever stayed in.

Room was very very comfortable, the tailor made breakfast every morning absolutely terrific. The hotel has one of the best rooftop of the city and the view is to die for. The location is perfectly , beautiful view of the old city and the river and so close by to all the action. I will definetely go back again in the future.

Although it was only for one night, it was a very comfortable room and the hotel has the best facilities I've seen in Lisbon so far. The breakfast buffet is top notch and the location is excellent, across from Oriente subway and train stations, next to Vasco da Gama shopping mall. What else could you ask for? This is definitely the place I am choosing for the next visit to Lisbon. I forgot to add that is only two subway stops away from the airport. Very convenient.

Compared to other marinas in the area, this one is shelthered from noisy traffic, it has a lovely setting and Belem is worthwhile a visit for a few days. In close proximity to Lisbon city centre and surrounding coastal towns like Cascais, worth a visit. The boat has all the necessary to be comfortable, a bit of maintenance on a few issue will enhance the experience. The boat & Marina a great alternative form of accommodation compared to hotels, B&B etc.

This hotel leans to the more "budget" friendly offerings in Lisbon, and for the price, you get excellent value here. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was clean, and in a great location downtown and close to the airport. I had to leave earlier than the breakfast was offered, but the staff offered to pack a small breakfast for me in a bag to take with me in the morning. Marta is the best!!!

This was a lovely boutique hotel. Very comfortable, clean and modern with a great continental breakfast option. The location was great for exploring Lisbon. Despite being just off the main, busy stretch of the city centre, our room was very quiet and we didn’t hear a thing. The staff were all lovely too and went out of their way to look after guests. 5 star service throughout and you’re treat like a VIP. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and can not fault the service of every single member we encountered. Hotel itself is beautiful with an amazing selection for breakfast.

Best breakfast of the 6 hotels we stayed in. I would choose this hotel again when I visit Lisbon again. Location is great, room and staff were good, breakfast was outstanding.
