The travel card is really useful - once you figure out how to get it out of the machine! Metro very straightforward. Was advised by the apartment host to take a taxi from the airport which was expensive, she advised it would take too long via the metro but I travelled back to the airport that way and it wasnt a problem. Went with aim of see Gaudi architecture and wasnt disappointed, only there for 4 days and really need a week to see all/more of them, also ran out of time, didnt get to the beach :(
Hope to visit again but will not stay at Poble Sec apartments, very disappointed with the cleanliness/state of repair, only good thing was the location!

I have only been to 15 or so foreign cities to my own, and most of those in the Caribbean… including New York and San Francisco, I have NEVER been in a city so populated, so large, so dense, yet so welcoming, navigable, so CLEAN, so SECURE, and so family friendly. Including my home city, I have never felt so safe with my wife, at 11pm at night, on the streets of Barcelona. Streets that are so clean and well kept, a population that seems to pride itself on respecting the space around them, and it truly shows!! While such a dense population is obvious when driving, the public transportation was seamless and quick. Second ONLY to New York (on a smaller scale!!). However, FAR smoother and “gentle” of a ride, you were at your destination before you realized it!!! Your most confusing part of Barcelona will be the airport, if you’ve never been in a foreign country before… otherwise, the rest truely is common sense!!!

Barcelona is stunning and there is so much to see.
Barcelona is stunning and there is so much to see. Recommend that you plan what you are going to see and book online in advance. Parc Guell definitely needs booking a few days in advance as they sell out quickly and do not offer tickets on the gate. Casa Battlo gold ticket is a definite thing to do and their street escape tour is fantastic. The Metro is easy to use and it’s worth getting the Barcelona Hola metro pass and you get it as a multi day pass. Definitely a location we want to go back to and an instant favourite 🙂

We really enjoyed the architecture of Antoni Gaudi and in particular the Sagrada Familia. We found the gothic section very crowded. The transit system is amazing: efficient, safe, inexpensive and clean. Buy a month pass as it gets you to and from the airport without a surcharge.

Barcelona is a great place to stop and visit Gaudi’s buildings. This man is a genius and his work breathtaking. Barcelona has tapa bars, cafe’s, restaurants, bars, shops, pharmacies on every street. There are so many places to explore and the Gothic Quarter is more than I had expected in a good way. Everything is walkable and if you get tired of walking the metro is easy and cheap to use. I found eating out to be affordable, but the cost of hotels is pricer compared to Valencia. The streets are clean, we never had any concerns about being picked pocketed because we kept our valuables in zipped pockets in front; however we did meet someone who had his cell phone stolen from his back pocket during our tapa and wine tour so just be aware of your surroundings. Most people working spoke english and if they didn’t we used the google translator to help us.
Amazing staff (specially segnior Tino and guys from the bar).
Location is top notch.
Good cleaning done every day.
Saff is really friendly from their heart.
One of the best hotels in Barcelona.
The food in the restaurant is on very good level, also the breakfast. Not so much choice for breakfast as in some large 5 star hotels, but everything is selected and very good.
They also have iron and powerfull hair dryer!
The room is clean, very clean, Bright, and let you feel very comfortable.
The toilet equipment and the shower room look like just remodeled one month ago, very clean and new.
The breakfast food is great. The fruit, cereal, juice, bread, meat, and coffee all variety. It's kind of enjoy to eat at this hotel.
The attached pictures are the food they offered. Hope you can enjoy it too ( in Barcelona, Spain )
Everything is excellent specially the front desk gentleman tall with glasses, his warm welcome saved 2 girls’ lives, and tips for the city are helpful. Also the balcony spark my stay. I strongly recommend the market only 1 minute walk away ( go out of the hotel and turn right), there are jamon and fruits with good quality and fair price, it is almost the best market during our 3 weeks trip in Spain.
Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel is located in the Gracia barrio, a 5 min walk from the metro station Fontana and a 30 min walk from the city center. It's very peaceful and quiet so ideal for rest after exploring beautiful Barcelona. The staff very friendly and helpful. Spacious room with a beautiful balcony, cleaned every day. Would very much recomend it for your stay in Barcelona
This hotel was a great choice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. Getting there from the airport was easy with the bus service. Its location is perfect for walking to Barcelona's main attractions. We were pleased with our room—it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Overall, a wonderful place to stay for anyone visiting the city
Amazing location, nice view out the window. Front desk was very professional and helpful. Coffee and breakfast were amazing and the best we had between travel to both France and Spain. Hotel rooftop bar was also great...what a view! And there were actually enough available tables to accommodate lots of people. Easy to get to metro stops from here too.
Our first visit to Barcelona- this hotel exceeded our expectations. This well maintained facility and super friendly staff made our visit delightful.
The metro stop is right in front of the hotel. Perfect for getting anywhere in the city.
The hotel is in the center of so many shops and restaurants it’s easy to spend a day without having to go far.
Awesome location, the best one among the other H10 hotels nearby
Very kind staffs. 2 bottles of water, coffee and tea are offered daily.
Amazingly I got the unexpected birthday surprise- champagne and cake!
Breakfast was great. The best churrus and Jamon in Spain !
Thank you!! We will definitely stay at H10 Catalunya next time.
Jan and David are AMAZING 😍 they were very supportive to me and guided me a lot.. the location is WONDERFUL really it’s in the center and easy going to anywhere and the airport bus is 3 mins walking distance from the hotel as well the Toursim bus .. very highly recommended if you need a place in the center of Barcelona
The location of the hotel is very close to the subway which facilitates access to the city center. The hotel staff is very friendly and smiling. Breakfast is very tasty, lots of food options. The rooms are spacious, cozy and with a great view over Barcelona!
We felt great, I highly recommend the location!

The hotel is perfectly located in the city center. The staff are nothing but helpful and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and ensure you have everything you need. The rooms are modern and very comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Barcelona!
Location is excellent! Super close to the Arc de Triomf and a bakery and a great restaurant next door. I have stayed in other hotels in Barcelona and this one really was the best! Saurina was extremely helpful with recommendations around the city and super friendly as well.
Good place to stay in Barcelona for family with kids
Nice location , very close to the metro station - 5 min walk, close to city center - around 30 minutes walk or 15 min by metro.
clean room, a small market near hotel and a shopping center at 10-15 min walk.
It’s a lovely hotel just 10 mins away from the busy center, the room is very comfortable, the shower the best I ever had and the food from the restaurant was exquisite, was the second time at this hotel and will definitely go back every time i ll go Barcelona
Lovely hotel situated in heart of Barcelona. Rooms furnished appropriately to the age of the hotel. Especially liked how I could choose what type of breakfast I wanted and pay the appropriate price, indeed best breakfast I had in Spain.
Very satisfied with the hotel staffing - employees were really polite and helpful. The rooms have been cleaned very well too. Its location within Barcelona central city is also very reasonable - just 20min by bus to the city center.
The location is a plus, and the food at the resto is delicious. I ordered arroz negro and so far it was one of the best I tried in Spain. FYI: You’ll get 10% discount from the resto if you have a booking in the hotel.
The location couldn't be an better and while in the city center, the hotel is not noisy at hotel.
Facilities are nice, ideal for a couple of nights to enjoy Barcelona.
I would definitely go back!
