You need to know where to go from a local or you will end up in a tourist trap. I am Spanish and I didn’t find many places for a good quality-price relation food wise compared to other places such as Valencia, Sevilla, Granada, Leon or Mallorca. City is a bit too crowded at times. There are many theatres to go for a show if you have time enough. I feel it is a good city for a short visit (like 2-3 days) but not much longer. If you will stay longer then is worth it to take a day excursion to wonderful Toledo, Avila, Salamanca, Leon… In general we were ok with 2 nights stay, don’t feel like I’ll be missing too much

The hotel’s central location in Madrid was fantastic, making it easy to explore the city's main attractions. However, the room was poorly soundproofed, resulting in significant noise from the street and neighboring rooms. We had lunch at the La Casa de las Torrijas, nice local food known for its French toast desserts.

this is my fourth stay at Madrid - and the best. located in the business and premium area - the hotel is surrounded by plenty of Brand shopping options as well as the famous el corte ingles. 30 mins from airport and 3 kms from the bubbly and happening Gran via area. the hotel facilities and restaurant as well as housekeeping staff were over attentive to your need. i had two bookings done online thru booking.com hence for an 8 night stay and then 5 nights. so maybe you get to read double reviews

Very accommodating to specific needs and really appreciated free bakery goods on the weekend. Effective communication utilizing What’s App. Staff was helpful with bags and transportation to airport also communicating with taxi driver to ensure information for destination was correct. Nice complimentary tote bag to carry for any souvenirs or items for walking in the city. Maybe think about adding Madrid, Spain on the tote bag, making it more specific to the visit.

All the staff we met were courteous, helpful and friendly. Breakfast display was exceptional, plentiful and fresh. We did have a meal in our room 1 evening and again it was well presented and freshly cooked. The hotel is situated in Madrid city centre close to bus routes and Metro. Our room was overlooking the main street but noise wasn't a problem. Plenty of storage space and the bathroom looked newly refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Great location in a really cool neighbourhood of Madrid,. Staff where excellent especially Cristina on reception who went above & beyond on her level of service. When we where checking in I dropped a bowl we had bought as a memento by our daughter. Cristina & Victor took the trouble to have it repaired and delivered to our room at no cost. This was indeed one of the greatest hotels we ever booked. It is more like a 5 stars hotel, not only a 4 stars. The reception staff are very welcoming, especially Carlos. He greeted us and offered recommendations on what to explore and where to eat in Madrid. He also upgraded our room with a view to the Gran Via. In addition to having comfy rooms, the hotel is in the hub of Madrid: walking distance to metro station, and very near to all Madrid attractions.

Elba Madrid Alcala is an affordable hotel with amazing facilities. I have stayed here a few times and it exceeds expectations. The rooms are spacious and quite big in comparison to what you get in the city. It is however about 20 minutes away from the city centre but the metro is walking distance from the hotel and it takes about 30 minutes by train to get to the central area. The coffees in the cafè are delicious!
