Pension Corbero is very comfortable and astonishingly quiet for a city centre pension. The room is well-equipped, super-clean and well kept and the proprietor and his wife are very kind people. Very good value, very convenient for the Prado and many other places of interest, a lovely place to stay.

Busy, bustling & vibrant city with a mix of cutltures and heritage.
Amazing architechture, history, parks and eateries.
BIKE TOUR - Would highly recommend TIM bike tours - a great way to orientate with the city and learn facts not always found in the guide books. Suitable for most and great value for money.
TAPAS - wonderful tapas can be found at La Taberna de Ramales. Choose cold tapas from inside, order hot from the waiting staff. Would highly recommend the cod, asparagus with bacon and patatas bravas.
BUS TOUR - we had a family member with mobility issues so did the bus tour. Get the 48 hour option for just 5€ more. Can hop on/off all day, so whilst most places are walkable, it helps break things up.
SHOPPING - from desinger shops to Primark, Madrid has it all if shopping is your thing. And there are plenty of El Corte Ingles to browse too.
TRANSPORT - Easy to get from the airport - we got a taxi direct for 33€ though the metro, bus are cheaper - they take between 40-55 minutes.
ACCOMMODATION -We stayed at Plaza Maylor apartments which we spotless and only 2 minutes from Plaza Mayor.
FOOD MARKET - a must visit for any foodies. Great range of quality foodstuffs designed to eat on the go or back at base. Checkout the empanada (like mini pasties) stall.

The city is beautiful and interesting.
The city is beautiful and interesting. There was difficult to get a good coffee. The lines for the museums were too long. But the people are nice, and the food is good. You can walk and do not need transportation to see all that meters. And the Flamenco show was fabulous.

The food and taxi are more expensive than those in other cities. I had the worst food here, but paid more. Some plazas in the city center really look old and not pretty. Also, dog poops can be seen in streets and allies. Disgusting! I stayed in a high-grade residential area, but one day, I saw dog poop right in the middle of the crosswalk (the beginning part). This reminded me of the way I felt about Spain and its people thirty years ago. Madrid hasn't changed too much. People enjoyed old habits!

Very nice city to visit, clean and the metro and buses are very easy to use and to understand. I bought the 10 tickets and used it perfectly. The metro was very extensive, as well as the buses, didn't have a problem at all! I downloaded the app and it was easy to see the time schedule and how to ter around the city with the buses and metro. The centre of the city is very beautiful and you can easily walk from one end to another. A very walkable city with beautiful parks to enjoy a picnic. A very beautiful city!
The room was large. Beds were very large and comfortable. The kitchenette was great for light food prep. Very clean hotel. The adjoining park was lovely. We would sit there in the morning and drink our coffee. The location could not be beat. You could go anywhere with the metro very close. Quiet neighborhood but shopping was also within walking distance. Overall a very good hotel. Oh and the best parking experience we have had in Spain. Parking is at the property, it is spacious and easy access.
It was a convenient place to stay our last night in Spain, after returning to Madrid from our travels elsewhere in the country. The staff were friendly and helpful, including the young man who checked us in and our breakfast waiter, who was chatty and sweet. The room was clean and very quiet (it was on the back side of the building) and had great AC. Location was good, in central Madrid but convenient for our getaway to the airport the next morning.
Room was cool, unlike many air-conditioned places we stayed in Spain. Comfortable beds and warm, powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. Orange juice tasted freshly squeezed. Early check-in for $15 was nice. The free shuttle to airport was helpful. Because near airport, was a ways from center of city, however plenty of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. Would stay here again prior to a flight.
My first time in Madrid and I really like the location. its very close to the trains and it’s on the main heart of Spain 🇪🇸 closest to Gran vía which is central Madrid one of the streets with the most nightlife and it is said that to be the street that never sleeps. if you want to party ( This is the real hostel party) and if you want to rest also great place to stay. I REALLY LOVE IT and high recommend this hostel :)
The location was ideal. A short walk to the Metro, bus stops and regional train service. It's also near a beautiful park and square, which filled with people on the evening paseo. The customer service was also exceptional - the best we experienced in our two week stay in Spain. Very responsive and the 24-hour desk was always staffed. Cannot recommend this hotel / apartments enough.
Amazing hotel, located very central, close to all things that you can visit in Madrid. Easily reachable by public transport, but you can walk to the city centre and go shopping on Gran Via. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, the bed is awesome! The staff was very polite and helpful, and the breakfast was one of the best ever enjoyed in a hotel. Highly recommended!
We moved to Viky‘s from our downtown Madrid hotel because we had to be at the Madrid airport at 4 am. Viky‘s offered a free airport shuttle every half hour during the entire night. It worked out perfect. We were at Terminal 1 in less than 10 minutes. Barajas is a neat town with lots of nice restaurants around the plaza which made our last night in Spain very enjoyable.
We used this location twice for our vacation in Andalusia - beginning, with rest after long flight to Spain and ending with preparation to return home. The hotel was near the airport, had a good shuttle service and reasonable restaurant. Staff was very helpful in helping us use the Metro to get to the train station.
Excellent location, clean and all the necessary amenities. lots of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars around in a not very touristy part of Madrid. Yet it’s close to the city centre and the main sights. A walk to Gran Via takes 25 minutes (but there is of course also a Metro station nearby).
I really liked the airport transfer that took me from the airport to the hotel and also back again.
The room was clean and I had the facilities I needed. There is a metro close to the hotel, and a little cornershop/supermarket. The metro went all the way to the city centre of Madrid.
Perfect location for what we wanted to do in Madrid. The hotel has a courtesy bus to the Metro station which is a direct line to the city centre but taxis aren't expensive to the nearest Metro. There is large shopping centre and some restaurants within walking distance.
Awesome design aesthetic throughout the hotel. Location is super convenient to the Chamartin train station and metro lines, which allow easy access to northern Spain or to downtown Madrid. Neighborhood was quiet, allowing for a nice night's sleep.
Friendly staff and good location near Gran Via in Madrid's city centre.
The room has a little balcony and the hotel is not in the crowded and noisy areas, though still close enough to get to every corner in the centre with 20min walk tops.
Nice clean hotel. Only stayed for a night due to layover in Madrid. Taxi is about €15-€20 to the airport and it’s about 45 mins from the city centre by public transport. All in all a fine hotel for a good price.
Beautiful, modern hotel in the city centre, close to the main sights of Madrid. Extremely nice and helpful staff. If we return to Madrid, we will definitely choose this hotel again.
it is the perfect hotel for staying in Madrid city centre. Great location and comfortable room. I particularly liked the terrace for smoking as I hate standing out on the street.
