There was a lot more to do in Toledo than we expected. We were worried that 4 nights would be too long but it wasn’t, we were busy every day. The cathedral is stunning, the best building I have ever seen.

If you are interested in history and culture, this is the city for you. Beautifully restored remains from all periods of the city's history. Because of this, however, the historic quarters are always full of tourists during the day, and there is a surfeit of shops selling souvenirs. The streets are cobbled and steep, so be prepared to work hard! We were most interested in the Jewish Quarter and this did not disappoint, with many historic buildings well preserved and accessible. For a popular tourist city it was disappointing that much of the exposition in many of the monuments and historic buildings was only in Spanish. This is, however, a common problem in Spain, despite the fact that the majority of tourist speak English. (We live in Valencia and it's the same here). The tourist map. free from the tourist office, has an English version but the streets are so narrow, with so many small plazas, the, despite the fact that we enlarged it, the map was difficult to use. We would recommend buying a better quality large-scale map.
Food-wise, there are many good restaurants with a wide range of cuisines and all our experiences eating out were good or excellent.

Just an amazing, wonderful city.
Just an amazing, wonderful city. So many fascinating places including the white synagogue, El Greco museum, Cathedral and the general ambiance of the old city. We loved the tourist train that went around the city. It's a short (30 min) train ride from Madrid; book this in advance, they fill up, that's why we had to take the less desirable bus. Very walkable but realize it's all up and down, might be difficult for some people. Definitely stay overnight; tourists go home at night and you have the city to yourself. We ate at more or less randomly chosen little places that were uniformly good.

Tons of history, incredible beautiful cathedral.
Tons of history, incredible beautiful cathedral. Be prepared to walk tons of hills. You’ll like this if you are into historic buildings and history; otherwise you’ll be disappointed with other areas like entertainment and dining venues.

The old city of Toledo looks magnificent from the parador or from across the valley. There is an attractive river walk outside the city wall with historic bridges which lead up to the city. There are many cobbled streets to wander around but we couldn’t find a quiet traffic free square to enjoy a coffee and people watch. For me, the skyline was the most memorable part of my visit.

The old city was interesting to explore with so much of the old walls still intact. You can see the sites in one day.
We caught the fast train from Toledo to Madrid (just over 30 minutes) on the other 2 days of our stay
Although not in the town centre, the location is perfect as it you get stunning views from up on the hill of the entire town including the central castle. This is the best part. The hotel is very pretty with nice rooms and good air conditioning. Parking is secure with a garage below keeping the car cool and protected from the sun in mid summer months.
Just be aware you won’t want to walk into town in the summer months as Toledo is exceptionally hot and has lots of steep hills. But the views are amazing.
This hotel is super nice! Historic in nature, but with beautiful modern updates and thoughtful decor. The Junior Suite Rooms are very spacious with views over Zocodover Plaza and the rooftop terrace has wonderful views of the Alcazar. The staff is amazing. At check-in they take their time to introduce you to the city and things to do and see. Eva was great at making sure our taxi back to Madrid was arranged to catch our flights back home. Excellent experience and worth the price when in Toledo.
We came by car and the hotel is in a great location for us - easy to reach from the motorway and only a short walk into Toledo old town. There is a free public car park 5 minutes walk from the hotel and parking directly in front of the hotel for a fee.
The hotel itself is very comfortable. The heating was switched on, as the night got quite chilly. The room was of a generous size. The reception staff were very helpful in explaining how to find our way round the old town and the main sights.
The owner, Adil, was extremely helpful on arrival, including with our luggage and with parking the car. He even provided clothes washing liquid when he realised we wanted to use the washing machine. The view was one of a kind looking right at the old bridge crossing into old Toledo town. It truly was soundproof and safe. The decor was very tasteful and modern and the apartment lacked nothing.
Small, charming hotel/B&B, with great location very close to the Toledo Cathedral. Very helpful and friendly service, including restaurant recommendations, help with transportation. Good breakfast, charming quiet room, good air conditioning and WiFi. (One reviewer said, "No English spoken", but that definitely was not our experience.)
The location in walking distance to old Toledo is great, and the hotel perfectly blends with surroundings. The staff is friendly and supportive. The restaurant on premises is very convenient and was above expectations. Our room with balconies was spacious. There is no hotel parking, but a parking garage is very close and convenient.
Lovely hotel that matches the charm and beauty of Toledo. Good location as anything located within the city walls is! Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed the breakfast which btw is not a buffet style but served on a large wood 'tray'. The rooms are large to very large and decorated in 18th and early 19th century style.
Everything! Rooms were very comfortable. Beds were excellent. Staff were very helpful. The autobus goes from a stop just opposite the hotel, right into the old town. It was very cheap and reliable. We also used taxis which were very clean, with pleasant drivers and really cheap. Total success.
The hotel was in the heart of Toledo. The room was spacious, with a beautiful view from the balcony. The hotel has its character and you feel like "returning" to medieval ages. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good.
Good luck to all of them.
Everything was fantastic, from the room to the services to the food. I will definitely stay here again as i have to travel to toledo on a relatively regular basis. One of the best hotels i have stayed in. Best in Toledo in terms of Price to Quality ratio.
Hospederia Casa de Cisneros was right next to the Cathedral and within a short walking distance to all of the historical landmarks. The staff was amazing and treated us like royalty. The hotel has a rooftop deck that has fantastic views of Toledo.
The room itself is clean and a bit old fashioned. But the hotel is very nice. Especially the rooftop terrace. Best pictures and pick-nick of our 11 days trip in Spain! And it is directly in the old town like 1 min away from the center streets.
The hotel was located in the center of Toledo, and the price was cheap, but it was completely remodeled and very clean. Staff was very friendly. I can confidently recommend it to anyone. I will stay at this hotel next time if I visit again.
An excellent hotel situated in a prime location in Toledo. The staff could not have been more helpful and the breakfast was one of the best spreads I have seen in a long time. I thoroughly recommend people to stay at this hotel.
The onsite managers are dedicated to your comfort and enjoyment of Toledo. Their attention to detail and suggestions were much appreciated. The hotel is on a quiet little plaza with a lovely inner courtyard and rooftop.
The location is perfect. The hotel is in the beginning of the old town and looks like a castle. The ambience is traditional for Toledo. The breakfast was good.
