Easy location, if you stay around Krakow you can walk everywhere although there are horse & carriage and small buggy rides to take you sightseeing. If you want to go further afield the tram/trains and buses are an easy option. The river boat was also a very pleasant trip

Krakow was wonderful.
Krakow was wonderful. Our accomodation was only 100 yards from the Main Square on SW Anny. We visited the Wieliczka salt mines which are fascinating and well worth a visit. We also went to Schindler's Factory where the museum is excellent. We enjoyed a 30 minute boat trip and wandered around the Jewish Quarter where we had a great meal and listened to musicians playing typical folk music. The Main Square in the Old Town was magnificent and we loved walking along and through The Planty. The Old Palace and Cathedral on Wawel Hill are also very impressive.

A bit neutral city but has alot of history.
A bit neutral city but has alot of history. The only city that was not totally destroyed in WW2 so many buildings still original. The Stare Miasto is a place to be. Alot of life, good resturants and a market to visit. Must sees are aucswitz and the salt mines. Do not recommend traveling with children to krakow. Not really much for them to see or do. Food is cheap and also beers and drinks.. We used Bolt alot for traveling. Both scooters and cars.ElvaIceland - 10Scored 10

So much to see ,managed to book aushwitz and salt mines, also had good couple of days strolling around main square , but not enough time to see all. Definitely will come back next year. Plenty of restaurants, however we really recomend NapNap bistro , Sioux and Pod Aniolami . Really good walking distance from our hotel didn't have to use taxi or bus to get where I wanted. Obviously salt mines and aushwitz we booked tour guide , salt mines we took bus from krakow and Aushwitz tour guide and we been picked up from location near our hotel.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

I enjoyed Krakow - it’s a compact city with great public transport , so it’s easy to get around and visit a lot of places, leaving the evening for attending concerts, pubs, etc. Access to Auschwitz made the stay in Krakow memorable. The locals, especially the University students, were approachable and helpful.

The location is FANTASTIC, as are the restaurant recommendations the hosts left on a leaflet in the room. You are on the old town city centre doorstep (3 minutes) without the tourist noise, and no more that 16 minutes away from all the best places of interest around the centre, and the Jewish Quarter the other direction down the road.
