The location was great. I like being on the water and it felt a little like glamping.

It’s a beautiful property with a lovely marina right on the Gulf of Mexico. The sunset views were excellent and we enjoyed watching the tarpon. We appreciated too that it was pet friendly.

Marathon is a great stop before going to key west or if you want to fish or do activities. KW isn't a great destination for that. Marathon is much quieter but also closes early.
I'd much rather stay in Marathon for a longer part and do an overnight in KW.

Went to Bahia Honda State Park - beaches were ok.
Went to Bahia Honda State Park - beaches were ok. They offer paddle boarding and kayak rental there. went on several trails, which were nice. Went on the old 7 mile bridge (cloudy day), but didn't get to see sunrise. Drove out to see mini deers and got to see a glimpse of one (it was not near sunset or sunrise, which is the time they recommend you go to see them).

I am extremely picky and I can say that this resort is simply amazing. Spotless. Cleanest place I have ever visited with all the luxury you could expect. Best resort in the keys ! Don’t hesitate to book this. You will not find better
Fantastic location! We loved the private secluded beach. The room was nicely updated and furnished with everything we needed. The balcony of our room was spacious and comfortable, and amazingly close to the water. Just beautiful! The included breakfast was very good and the view while dining at The Hideaway is hard to beat. We have stayed in several upscale resorts and hotels that didn’t have as good of service and as attentive a staff as we did here. We would definitely stay at Rainbow Bend again.
We wanted to visit different islands in the Florida Keys, so decided to stay in marathon because it was very central (1.5h from Key West, 1.5h from Islamorada, and 2h from Key Largo). The hotel is very nice. the room is like a tiny studio apartment where you have a small kitchen a table and a fridge. some rooms have also a small patio. the room was clean, the furniture new. there was also a nice pool. we stayed there only for 2 nights but there were people staying there for weeks.
we had a beautiful view, and a great porch to hang out on. Also, we were right next to Marathon and close to Islamorada- lots of great choices for food and drink- like Islamorada Brewing Co. and Keys Fisheries! Not to mention- we had a lovely time at sombrero beach! And though our unit faced west, we got a gorgeous sunrise! I’m sure it would’ve been a great place for a sunset too!
Amazing pool and location right up at the ocean. Grills that you can use. Free parking. Very personal vibe as it’s a smaller property than many of the other resorts. Large reconstruction finished after hurricane Irma. We picked Marathon and doing a day trip to key west, rather than staying in key west.
Breathtaking property right in the middle of the Florida Keys.
Everything was simply amazing and felt like a dream. Well worth the money spent.
The room was large, very clean, and with a spectacular view over the ocean.
The property is stunning, with a lively and welcoming staff.
We felt home.
Good value for marathon. Relatively close to sombrero beach. Great checkin. Very friendly and helpful. Checkin hours were posted wrong on website so he called to be sure we got in to room ok. Fridge and micro small but serviceable. Great restaurant across the street opens at 8 am
The boutique size hotel was staffed by the friendliest and most helpful people, especially Morgan, the concierge. The property was large enough that you never felt like you were crowded by others. The hotel is located so that you can easily enjoy the Keys to the east and west.
The hotel lived up to expectations. It was very clean and the facilities were excellent. The location was perfect for the Keys, to be able to visit all the islands from a central base was a bonus. Just wish we could have stayed longer.
Good location to reach different points of interest in Florida Keys, easy to drive to Key West for the day. the price is very reasonable compared to other places in the area. It’s a simple motel, but clean and we experienced no issues.
Exactly what i was looking for.. 2 day quick trip with my son for spring break. Hour to key west, close to restaurants, easiest check in i ever had. Its a mom & pop older hotel which i love to support.
- this is a hotel in a marina, looks really trashed from outside, but the rooms are quite ok
- the grills, pool and other ammenties
- close to publix/winn dixies and marathon center
On The Water and great location! Great staff!! Charlotte and Lady and Manny are great valued staff for this hotel! Great housekeeping staff and Rosa is very good cleaning rooms!!!
