I loved how close the access to the beach is and the kids pool area. Maid service was great and they were friendly, actually the whole staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Loved that the hotel serves fresh breakfast.

Loved the location and the beach. The sand was nice and the water warm and shallow enough to wade and splash around in it. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent and the housekeeping staff did a great job. Breakfast was good. Many families were there and guests were polite.

We loved the "Adults Only" policy. Everyone was so friendly both staff and guests. Check in was simple and fast. Every thing was clean and tidy the evening staff was walking around making sure the grounds were in order. We enjoyed the pool which was immaculate, live music, and bar in the evening. Then a yummy breakfast was right down stairs with the loveliest lady at the bar. Furnishings were simplistic but adequate. The a/c was quite and worked very well keeping the room cold. Room also did not have that sticky humid feeling which was great.

Fun place with amazing beaches for Texas! Lots of sunshine!
Fun place with amazing beaches for Texas! Lots of sunshine! Beautiful turquoise waters, great sandy beaches and lots of fun bars and restaurants on the beach and on the main drag. Hotel options are pretty endless with beach access, great outdoor pools and amenities. Pick careful because some of the Hotels are in need of TLC!

This was our 2nd visit.
This was our 2nd visit. We also went four years ago, but a couple of weeks earlier (mid-Jan instead of early Feb). We live in MN and like the warmer temps for a winter break. We did many of the same things we did in our last visit - sunrise walks on the beach, beach combing, Turtle Inc, Bird & Reptile Sanctuary, great meals in the restaurants, sunsets on the lagoon, shopping. We also enjoyed the park on the south end of the island and went on the dolphin watch tour (Original Dolphin Watch and ECO tour). Both were very enjoyable. It's fairly quiet on the island in Jan & Feb before spring break and hotels are more affordable. Temps are great for upper midwesterners.

We visit S Padre Island every year and totally enjoy the area. You can visit the turtle rescue and bird sanctuary. See dolphins by the fishing pier and walk the beach as far as you want to. Dog friendly beach and motel.

I was there in January.
I was there in January. There were a lot of restaurant choices. Many of the bars and restaurants had live entertainment and drink/food specials everyday. There are a lot of golf cart and bicycle rentals available which is great if you don't have a car to get around. I stayed in a place that was close to the beach and could walk to many different places. Lobos Del Mar had great food, entertainment and an awesome location to watch the sunsets and go for a Ferris Wheel ride. Clayton's is great!! It's a must if you like sitting in the sun listening to live music and visiting with friendly people. I found a great little place on the beach to have breakfast at the Palms called Cafe on the Beach. Try it, you will really like it!

Might have been a great place twenty years ago but it looked tired and worn out. Really pitiful. They had gutted the pool and Jacuzzi so if the winds weren't blowing 40 mph we would have enjoyed a hot tub. Especially since our room didn't have hot water. We took REALLY fast showers!

It was great! Full kitchenette. The view of the pool great.
It was great! Full kitchenette. The view of the pool great. The only thing is charging for the umbrella on the beach. There should not be a charge. I did get partial pool view which was great too. I highly recommend this hotel and resort.

The facility was beautiful! We continuously saw the housekeeping department sanitizing the building. The food and drinks were delicious! Our bartender (Katie) at Bar Louie was so nice and hospitable. The hotel is directly on the beach and has direct access to Clayton's Beach Bar. The night entertainment was so amazing. There were bands, DJ's, and they had a firework show that was so beautiful. The beds were beyond comfortable. Can't wait to go back.
I love everything about this place. I love how it's pet friendy too. I accidentally booked my room for the wrong dates and the girl up front in lobby was awesome at helping me with that. I called to let them know what happened and they automatically fixed my mistake and was able to keep same rate. I will keep coming back to book my room at this hotel everytime my family and I visit South Padre Island 🏝 ❤
Me and my wide planned a short trip notice to south Padre island for the weekend and we picked the SPI lodge. Yolanda was very helpful and checked us in with absolutely no issues and helped us how to get to the beach asap, which is not far at all, you can walk 1/4 mile from the hotel to a beach access and you’re there. AC was cold and got a great nights sleep! No complaints here. Thank you SPI lodge!
Location is great . Breakfast was not great . We have been going there for years and really enjoyed the breakfast. This time it was lacking . First day I ate the omelette it was good , the second day it was over cooked. It has gotten skimpy. No fruit , very little yogurt on tray . Not a verity of food . Your utensils are very cheap. Couldn’t even spread butter on my toast, the knife was bending !
I loved the pool area, even though the water was cold I still got to chill with my family. It's not beach access/beach view but it is still in the center of everything so my family and I were able to easily access the beach on one end of the island and the dolphin watch and sea ranch on the other. But the hotel itself was cheap and luxurious.
The hotel and resort are great. There are two pools you've right on the beach. There's three different places to eat. There is an outdoor pool Shack you can eat at as well . This is one of the best places me and my family and I have ever stayed at. One great place.
If you want an “on the Beach Front” property this is the one !!! Easy access to beach. Nice pool, Amazing Breakfast, Nice Staff, Clean Property. Try Russo’s pizza only a few steps away from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Security is on point here- we felt safe.
Seeing my name on the TV was a very nice touch. Tiffaney was awesome and I really was excited to have a partial ocean view! The 12 hour drive was worth it after arriving at the hotel. The staff was amazing and the overall experience was tremendous!
Really enjoyed the view of the pool and water. Our room was nice and quiet. Had a Great Breakfast. The omelettes and breakfast tacos were great. Liked the fact that there was a shop, coffee shop and restaurant in hotel. Great location.
Hotel location is good there´s a convinience store across the street. Employees at the Hotel are friendly and willing to help. The pool and whirpool temperature was great, most of the week it was only my kids and myself by the pool.
The breakfast was the bomb. The staff were very friendly and cheery. The room cleanliness were spot on. I mean everything. So far my family said this is the best hotel on island so far.
The employees were super nice. The man that checked us in was really helpful! So was the employee helping us at breakfast. Definitely our go to hotel when we stay in south padre island.
Location was great. Right on the beach with pool and hot tub, pool table in lobby. Price was cheap compared to other places. Had a kitchen in room and full sized fridge.
