This property was super close to the train station, which we appreciated. Only a 5 minute walk. The room was nice, nothing overly exciting, but very clean with a nice, large bathroom with 2 sinks. Breakfast was great! However you could skip this, as juice and croissants are provided free for all guests.

My husband had just gotten out of the hospital. We wanted something close to the airport. We did not eat breakfast there because a buffet is to much food for us. My husband was on a puree diet.

The hotel’s central location in Madrid was fantastic, making it easy to explore the city's main attractions. However, the room was poorly soundproofed, resulting in significant noise from the street and neighboring rooms. We had lunch at the La Casa de las Torrijas, nice local food known for its French toast desserts.

I loved this charming, clean city and its beautiful buildings and green parks. Very little graffiti, what a blessing, wonderful shopping and magnificent varied restaurants. Loved loved loved it. We enjoyed the red bus tour "Magic bus" Better than the "sightseeing bus" - loved the Prado and the Temple of Debod. Loved walking an deating in the Latin quarter.

Beautiful, busy and clean city.
Beautiful, busy and clean city. The huge ornate buildings, the restaurants and the cafes are many. Service staff in any establishment I visited were all accommodating with English. Prices for food or souvenirs were comparable to any other city and very reasonable. We had lunch at Gino’s and it was delicious.

Nice city with big boulevards to stroule around and enjoy free time. Always a pulsating city with heaps of people around.
But don't miss the Metro, it's very cheap to get to other parts of the city and explore them, too.

My first visit to Madrid and surrounding areas.
My first visit to Madrid and surrounding areas. So much to see, lots of culture, history, The Prado and celebrations (We happened to be there on May 2nd, to see the festivities). What impressed me above all else is how affordable Madrid is, especially compared to London and Paris, Had I known, I would have stayed longer and I look forward to returning. Looking back, I felt we just scraped the surface of this great city.

East to get around, lots of beautiful buildings to see and historical places. Beautiful parks and great shopping
Next time I go I will make sure to investigate good places to eat as there are lots of places it think doing your research on variety and price is a good idea.
Hostal Met Madrid has a great location in between the Plaza Major, the Mercado San Miguel and the Ooera/Teatro Real. Most main tourist destinations in the city centre are in east walking distance. The hotel itself comprises the second floor of a large old apartment building. Rooms are a good size with en-suite bathrooms, fridge and mini-safe. We were also treated to some cava left in our room. Rooms were clean and having air conditioning really helped for a July visit. The price was good for the facilities and location.
This was indeed one of the greatest hotels we ever booked. It is more like a 5 stars hotel, not only a 4 stars. The reception staff are very welcoming, especially Carlos. He greeted us and offered recommendations on what to explore and where to eat in Madrid. He also upgraded our room with a view to the Gran Via. In addition to having comfy rooms, the hotel is in the hub of Madrid: walking distance to metro station, and very near to all Madrid attractions.
Walking distance to metro, stores and places to eat. Excellent with airport shuttle. Staff is very good. Stayed there few times.
Arrive on metro from train station in Madrid. Leave via free airport shuttle.
Great for first late night arrivals to Madrid/spain onwards. Fly in. Get free shuttle pick up. Rest. We walked to metro in the morning.
Also within walking distance is laundromat.
This property is very well located. It is conveniently placed for Madrid Airport…..and the Metro station ….Alfonso VIII…..is only a 2 minute walk from this hotel….making it easy to access the city centre. The reception staff were also very professional and friendly. Our room was very clean and bright and had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
We love staying in this neighborhood and were lucky to find the Vincci. Clean, well run, and friendly, it's close to so much of central Madrid and a stone's throw from great food and bars. The front desk staff were terrific. We've stayed in Vincci Hotels elsewhere in Spain and will definitely be back to this one in Madrid.
staff helpful booking taxi and loaning an iron etc. Best part very large floor to ceiling windows. I liked the brightness. I stayed in hotels for month and never got used to small windows and shudders in most accommodations in Spain and Greece. I do understand to keep heat out . This by far was my favourite hotel on trip.
Everything about the hotel is exceptional. Located near metro station line number 8( pink line) which takes you to the city centre. Located near airport. 24 hours reception is the best thing. Another thing is the cleanliness and freshness in the room. Hotel arranged for a taxi for early morning flight
The suite was very nice, bathroom spacious *bath and separate shower" bed was very good. Staff is efficient and professional as you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Bus to Madrid City Centre around the corner (200m) 30 minutes to city centre. 20 min by taxi to Madrid Airport.
Very nice hotel in perfect location. Near airport and public transportation.
10€ with Uber from airport to hotel.
Also 10€ to the center of Madrid.
We walk Al along street till center, it's perfect street with lots of shops and people around.
Place is safe.
Friendly staff and good location near Gran Via in Madrid's city centre.
The room has a little balcony and the hotel is not in the crowded and noisy areas, though still close enough to get to every corner in the centre with 20min walk tops.
Nice clean hotel. Only stayed for a night due to layover in Madrid. Taxi is about €15-€20 to the airport and it’s about 45 mins from the city centre by public transport. All in all a fine hotel for a good price.
The hotel was close to the airport and very clean. I was sick and had to return home from Spain to California and my sister came to help me home. It was convenient and had a shuttle to the airport.
The hotel was very quiet. The restaurant was good and moderately priced for dinner, and the breakfast was the best we had in Spain. We appreciated having shuttle service to and from the hotel.
The hotel is in great location from the city centre. The Hotel is very close to the Metro/Tube. The Madrid Metro is very clean, safe, good value for money with air-condition.
The hotel is in a very city centre of Madrid, 3-4 min from the metro station. It's clean and comfy and the staff is friendly. We will definitely stay again when in Madrid.
I enjoyed my staying there, the hotel crow completely understand and expect the needs of me and my family. Sure it is one of my best stays in Spain.
Thanks to them all.
