Surrounded by granite outcrops and with stunning views and roaming wildlife, Desert Quiver Camp offers modern self-catering accommodation, located just 5 km away from the entrance gate to Sossusvlei.

The uniquely designed units at Desert Quiver Camp come with a spacious bedroom and en-suite bathroom with shower. The units include a covered patio area, fitted with kitchenette, fridge, seating area and barbecue facilities.

Close proximity to park gate. Very scenic pool area that conveniently had a bar with strong internet signal. Cabins had spacious interior with very comfortable bed and great shower and double sink area and ceiling fan. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially when I lost my phone and they found it for me. We ate dinner both nights at Sossusvlei buffet (their sister property). I am a vegetarian and it was spectacular but we could have also cooked and eaten on our porch and enjoyed the view. We entered the park as soon as it opened and enjoyed spectacular photos while the sun was still rising and before the crowds arrived. We considered staying at a lodge inside the park gates but are glad we chose Desert Quiver.

Looking for a cabin?

For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.

Stayed here as was only accommodation inside gate. Excellent rooms but awful lack of information. Food appalling. Severe lack of customer service. Waiters rude. PLEASE BEAR IN MIND IT IS STILL 45/50 MINUTE DRIVE TO DUNES AND THATS BREAKING SPEED LIMIT. You pay extra for shuttle bus ( not included). NOT WORTH MONEY. CASES JUST LEFT OUTSIDE WHILST WE WENT TO SUNRISE ETC. NOT SECURELY STORED

The little hut is very nice. The staff was helpful, even helping us start a fire to cook the food we purchased. The location was perfect. It allowed us to get to the park first thing.

Really close to the Sossusvlei gate for that early race to the dunes! The Chalets were very beautiful, spacious and each has their own terrace for that all important sunset sky. Very clean, large fridge in room. Pool was refreshing! Internet only available in main building not in chalets but connection etc was very good. Dinner and Breakfast was awesome, good selection of dishes and food. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout! Highly recommended
