We loved the room and the location. The beds were very comfy, and there were no disturbances from other rooms. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was also spotless. We had a great view overlooking the lake, which was amazing. Check-in was also perfect. We had a hassle-free stay.

Living History isn't just a place to stay. It's an experience. How many people can say they've stayed in a medieval mill with an entrance to an ancient salt mine in their bathroom? Everything about this place is magical, and every detail is steeped in history. Even the key to the front door is from the 16th century. The location can't be beat as the apartment is just off the town square where the ferry docks. Lorenzo is such a kind host. He met us in the square and gave us a wonderful tour of the apartment, sharing tidbits and stories about the history behind its walls. The floors in the apartment are heated, as well, which was greatly appreciated during our winter stay. If you're in Hallstatt for a night, don't miss out on this unique adventure!

One of most beautiful village in the world.
One of most beautiful village in the world. It is just 2 hours plus away from Salzburg. You can plan a day trip. You will get best scenery and it is like childhood fairy tale place. I must praise I have a good dining experience in Simple 169. The owner is so friendly and food is good. Preferable if you can spend one night with light luggage. Loved the amazing views around Hallstatt. The salt mine tour is definitely worth it. The views from above are just spectacular overlooking the mountains, town and the lake. A beautiful enchanting fairy tale town. Set on a lake framed by mountains. It is very small easily done in a day or 2. The food is delicious and reasonably priced Salt mines worth doing 100% but give yourself a few hours as so much to see at the top! A perfect place to visit with family. Beautiful lake, landscapes views, snowy mountains and salt mine tour. Hallstatt is really small and can be walked around comfortably. Connectivity with Salzburg is easy by bug #150, 542 and 543 in around 2.5 hours. WAY too many tourists! Hard to walk around and also find a spot to eat! One night is plenty! Gorgeous town though and easy to get around. A lot of day trippers that once their buses left, the crowds cleared out tremendously.

The view from our room was just amazing, looking at the main square in Hallstatt, the church, and stunning mountains! Also, the bed was very very comfortable and it was almost -10 outside but the room was so warm and cozy! Self-check-in was very straight forward and all the staff we met were very nice and polite, especially the girl during breakfast - very nice, positive, and smiley :)

And the view of Hallstatt Lake from the hotel is the best. The view from the terrace and the garden was amazing. I recommend it to anyone planning a Hallstatt trip! There was a breakfast fee, but it's worth it. The breakfast was very delicious!
