I cannot begin to explain how perfect our stay was. The staff were so excellent and helped with everything. Excellent quite location- but you will need an ATV or a car to get up the steep hill! the views and seclusion are well worth it. Best stay we could have asked for!

Staying at surf camp was such a lovely experience! I appreciated the gorgeous views waking up in the open air Rancho, the gym and pool area were so well kept, and the people and vibes were immaculate! I was hoping to find a quiet spot in the heart of the South West peninsula and surf camp was it!

Americanized beach town. Crowded waters to surf. Really bad infrastructure, roads are bad, no sidewalks and caos in traffic.
The beach itself is very beautiful and the waves are nice. Just the vibe is either you love it or you hate it.

Santa Teresa for us was a completely disastrous in terms of development. I cannot even imagine anyone wanting to live there. The scenery once you get beyond the mishmash of stores 3 centimeters from the really poor roads is wonderful. It is a surfer place and nothing more. I would not ever go back for any reason

Santa Teresa has the most beautiful beach.
Santa Teresa has the most beautiful beach. There are so many places to eat that have great food. Santa Teresa does not feel as crowded as some other beaches in Costa Rica, and I honestly feel very safe there. I would highly recommmend this place.

The property is amazing.
The property is amazing. The pool is super cute, the rooms are spacious and modern.
BUT the Beach Club/Restaurant charged us for things we didn’t order. We will always pay for everything we eat and drink but when things are added on our bills that we didn’t consume, we regretfully are super bitter. The hotel is looking into it and said they will get back to us. They have t yet.
Also, they advocate that they are an adult only hotel but there were kids at the restaurant and at pool.

Wooden shacks with corrugated metal roofs along a dusty dirt road. Restaurants use camping-style kitchens and where they get their groceries with absolutely no decent food market within at least two hours driving is their secret. There is absolutely no sewage system anywhere. Everyone just has a whole in the ground they call ‘septic system’. Just steps from the beach !! Would be interesting to have the water quality tested..

Lovely.
Lovely. Beautiful beach with soft sand, wonderful sunsets, great waves, a lot of nature.
A bit too many people (lots of surfers) and cars in some parts, but great offer in terms of cafes, restaurants, yoga and surf lessons.

The host is a very warm and welcoming local and just started this hotel together with his wife. As a fisherman you also get to know his hobby if you like. The kitchen open to the jungle is a very nice natural place, you got lockers, surfboards racks, outdoor showers, towels and locks for small rent and a sufficient and clean kitchen equipment. It is not central in Santa Teresa but directly to playa carmen where you have supermarkets, surf and atv rentals and the beach to reach in 2 minutes. Overall a very good stay and highly recommended.
Spacious, super clean and beautiful villas above santa teresa. The sight over the jungle and the pacific are astonishing. We could even observe a couple od parrots in the morning. The private pool is perfect to cool down as it is hot and humid in santa teresa. It is not a hotel, but our personal concierge service Sereen replied always prompt and helped us with everything we asked for. The kitchen is small but goodly equipped. If you stay in santa teresa, this will turn your fantastic holiday into a special one.
We really enjoyed to stay at Bajo el Arbol. The garden is beautiful, we loved to spend time there, and the breakfast.
The rooms are quite basic, but they have everything you need and were cleaned daily. We also had a small kitchen to prepare our meals.
Mauro and Julio are very friendly guests, they shared lot of tips about Santa Teresa and surroundings.
The location also is optimal, only 2 mins walk from Carmen beach.
When we booked, we didn’t have a sense of how close to the beach, restaurants, and shops we would be. At Horizon, were right where we wanted to be and we plan to stay at Horizon the next time we vacation in Santa Teresa!
There was a comfy hanging day bed on the balcony patio (see picture) that my daughter would take a nap on, and I would go out in the mornings and read my book there.
Great villas and nice pool. We had a small kitchen in our place which was great. The location is next to a beach access with an easy walk. There is a small local restaurant and convenience store close by. In general, playa Hermosa is a bit far from all the restaurants of santa Teresa but it's great spot to relax that is quieter. Beach is super nice. Good surfing too.
So peaceful, nice location, close to everything
Staff guys are amazing, Guido, Antonella and the other girl with dreads (sorry I can’t remember the name) were amazing hosts
Restaurant very good, fresh food served in your table.
Nice pool, and I really liked the yoga deck too
Tons of things to do in the hotel and activities scheduled for the guests
Good location, nice serviceminded staff, comfortable bed, safetybox and a cozy breakfast area. It is quiet at night, so you sleep very well.
I recommend this hotel if you want a nice comfortable stay in the centre of Santa Teresa. It is close to the beach, restaurants and coffee shops.
Super nice and clean. The staff was very helpfull with everything. Would recommend if you want a quiet and beautiful place to stay, but I also recommend renting an ATV, as the distances trough Santa Teresa Main Street is long (but close to the beach), and Taxi is really expensive here.
Spacious rooms with a nice balcony. Secure, gated parking. Lovely grounds with lush gardens, lounge areas and a very nice pool. A very short walk to the gorgeous Santa Teresa Beach. 2 amazing restaurants on either side. Drop in yoga classes and a spa next door as well.
Surf Paradise is one of those gems that you rarely find! The location and facilities are amazing and the staff made out stay in Santa Teresa way more welcoming and enjoyable (great local tips and companionship). Definitely a place where we will return!
the price performance ratio is incredible! the hotel is in the middle of santa teresa and still it i very calm in the inside area (like the common space, pool, etc). good breakfast/service and nice rooms for a more than fair price.
highly recommended!
Clean and new and excellent staff and communication. Very luxurious feeling in the room and in the entire premises. Safe with 24hr around the block security for a solo traveling gal. Highly recommend Ventura Santa Teresa. Can’t wait to go back!
very nice spot in santa teresa. Staff was super helpful, even offered an upgrade upon arrival at the same price. excellent quality-price ratio, considerably cheaper than other places in santa teresa. very clean apartment, nice open kitchen.
Gorgeous Villa. Great design with everything you need and wonderful staff. 5 minute walk to great surfable beach. Only 10 minutes to Santa Teresa. it was nice to be away from Santa Teresa as it’s very very busy.
The location is amazing to surf Santa Teresa beach. There are some nice places to eat nearby and the kitchen at the hostel is well equiped. It’s great place to hang out and meet people too.
We had a great stay.
The Place is nice and close to the Beach where you can surf.
The Hosts are very friendly and take care.
All in all the perfect Place to stay when in Santa Teresa :)
