Location! Pitlochry is such a cute little town. I wish we could spend a little more time in the area. The hotel was clean, well maintained although a bit older property. The views were amazing from common areas. The room was spacious, the bathroom was clean and had all the toiletries. Karen at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast room was huge and very welcoming. The full Scottish breakfast was delicious. There was plenty to choose from in addition- cereals, toast, jams, croissants, juices, etc. Again, a shout out to Karen for a wonderful stay.

The continental was plentiful but the cooked breakfast was a bit on the small side. That said, the staff were wonderful, very attentive, and very friendly towards us and the children.

We first visited Pitlochry in autumn 2019 - it was delightful then - it’s now spring 2024 - just as enjoyable, not a lot has changed. The main shopping precinct is busy with bus tours and particularly with tourists over the weekend - early mornings are best to get a seat in a coffee shop . To beat the crowds, take the suspension bridge across Tummel River to the Port-na-Craig area - the stone cottages and pub by the river bank is a tranquil area to enjoy. Continue along the walking path to the ‘salmon ladder’ and beyond to Faskally Wood or much further to the Killiecrankie Visitors Centre.

A thriving town with lots of independent shops to browse in, eateries & bars & the distillery. There are several museums & galleries. There are frequent drama productions. All the hotels were well signposted.
The scenery is superb with the River Tummel, lochside, woodland & mountain vistas.
Loch Faskally is absolutely stunning & Queens View is aptly named.
There are many walks available from Ben Vrackie 841m, to many waymarked walks in the forest parks. There is a great stroll down to the river & a nice park near the hotel.
Great for angling & cycling routes south of the river. The botany of the limestone outcrops is famous.

Lots of choices of restaurants / pubs. Plenty of quaint shops on the high street. A good base for sightseeing. Short car journey from The House of Brewer. We stayed 1 night to break our journey up, so limited time to fully explore the area.

Always love walking along the river and crossing the dam.
Always love walking along the river and crossing the dam. We had more time this time, so walked down to the boats and enjoyed a lovely cuppa from the other side of the dam. There's a path that runs from the start of the dam (behind the car park) and around the side of the dam into a housing estate. Then walk down towards the Green Park Hotel.
You must take a trip to House of Bruar ! Fabulous shopping experience.

Fishers Hotel good hotel, good Restaurant.
The Coach House serves very good food (not cheap).
Plenty of other places to eat and Supermarket just off high street.
The property was so nice and clean. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and informative. The owner gave us recommendations for dinner and a beautiful stroll through town. The rooms were large, updated with towel heaters and comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious with a large selection. We loved the adorable town with great food and shopping and upon leaving the owner helped us print some needed documents. If we return to Scotland this will definitely be one of our stops!
The hotel is charming. Set in a lovely quiet area of Pitlochry, and within easy walking distance of the high street, the hotel offers easy parking, with attractive grounds.
Breakfast was first class, the dining area nicely laid out. Friendly, welcoming staff.
We did not eat dinner at the hotel,( as we eat lunchtimes), but the menu looked very good.
We had a standard bedroom, smaller than we like, but adequate. The bed was very comfortable, and the room clean.
The Old Mill is situated in the heart of Pitlochry, with walks and tourist attractions on your doorstep, as well as shops, restaurants and pubs. The hotel itself is very lively and buzzy, with a hustling bar and restaurant. The staff are exceptional, a real stand out on our visit. Everyone was super efficent and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and modern and the beds large and comfortable. We shall most certainly return.
With private parking and a warm welcome this was a one night stay for us on our motorcycle tour of Scotland. Rooms were clean and comfortable albeit right at the top of the hotel.
Breakfast was average and functional compared to others we had whilst on tour.
Can recommend for a stay in Pitlochry
Location in the heart of Pitlochry town. A short walk to all amenities. We were taking in a show at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, and it was very pleasant and convenient to be able to walk there too. Our host kindly loaned us an umbrella as the weather wasn't great!
Front facing room. Staff very helpful and attentive, hotel was clean, comfy beds, very good breakfast. Close to all amenities in Pitlochry, set back from main road, little to no traffic noise. My third or fourth visit to this hotel, I will use them again.
The hotel is very comfortable and well situated in Pitlochry. We had a very good dog friendly room with a large king sized bed and excellent en-suite shower. Our dog was able to sleep in an entrance area which was separate from the bedroom.
Beautiful guest house in perfect location close to town. We were able to park the car and walk to everything. Had dinner at The Fern Cottage and it was the best dinner we had in Scotland. Delicious breakfast and wonderful hosts.
Staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel is in need of some serious investment. The location was great and the building itself has really cool gothic features. It's in a prominent position overlooking Pitlochry.
THE COOKED BREAKFAST WHICH WE HAD EVERY DAY OF OUR STAY WAS EXCELLENT, BREAKFAST SERVICE RATING WAS 5 STAR. THE GUEST HOUSE IS JUST MINUTES AWAY FOR MANY OF PITLOCHRYS ATTRACTIONS AND AMENITIES.
Property and grounds were lovely. We were able to easily walk to town for dining and shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful. The main hotel was charming and had everything we needed.
