The location, staff and breakfast were all outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to help us arrange trips, give recommendations, and even searched for (and found!) a missing earring! The location was also perfect. The property itself is beautiful, with a large outdoor patio providing a beautiful sea view. There is easy access to the sea - a few steps down to a a small sandy beach where you can swim in clear, blue water. We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Calypso Villas.

The villa was very big and the furniture was very modern. It was comfortable and great for 4 people.
The location was great, very close to the ammoudi beach. Of course, you must rent a car for visiting the rest of the beaches and to see ither places of the island.
The swimming pool is a great addition to the other facilities! WE LOVED IT!
The staff is friendly and nice.
We had also a cleaning service every day and it was very helpful, because of the sand and salt after the beach.
Would we come back to Zakynthos, we would definitely choose this villa.

Amoudi is slowly building-up its tourist industry but remains quieter and less built-up than the rest of the island's resorts especially those on the southern and south-eastern beaches. It's truly lovely with quite small beaches (not all sandy). All Zakynthian roads are chaotic and Amoudi is no different. Always walk facing oncoming traffic and at night have reflector or small torch handy! Tap water is not suitable for drinking (or boiling we were told) so we used bottled water for drinks etc. There are no shortages of excellent restaurants most with amazing sea views.

Amoudi is a small village, it's not really a resort.
Amoudi is a small village, it's not really a resort. This brings both advantages (you can find shops with decent prices, it's very quiet, it's not crowded), and disadvantages (no night life, no parties, you need to go to a different town/city/port for all of the organized boat trips), depending on what you are looking for. There are a few beaches, but we only liked one, with nice sand and perfect water (large areas with small water, for children, but also deep water for swimmers). We found both very good food, and mediocre food, depending on the tavern. There is a bus going through the village a few times per day, and it can be successfully used to travel cheaply (1.6 euros pp in July 2023), but you need to plan ahead, otherwise you may end up needing to take a taxi back.GGabrielRomania - 10Scored 10

Lovely beach, not too crowded, beautiful view, clean water. Not much sand in the beach, but at the same time there were not many rocks in the water which is a bonus. The rocky part on the right side of the sea was great for snorkelling- you can notice at least 8 different types of fish. Amoudi is a small village.
Amoudi is a small village. Is you are looking for a quiet place is the perfect choice. We rented a car, so it was easy to visit other places and beaches. We stayed at Patronis Studios and our host Dela recommended someone who rents boats, the boat took us from Amoudi beach and we visited the Blue caves and the famous Navagio Beach with is amazing blue waters and the shipwreck. There are some restaurants, I can recommend Amoudi - good food, good price, great service and a perfect atmosphere.

Everything just right.
Everything just right. The stuff made us feel welcome, scaled our moves, figured out quickly the limits of our need of privacy. They were not after the money, they were finding happines in serving. Normal people, with days of happines and days of less talking. They love their sun, the see, the life.

Lovely view to the ocean and amazing sunrises. Gardens were lush and green. Friendly staff. Across the road is a quite new restaurant where you can use sunbeds and umbrellas for free with quite easy access to the ocean for swimming. Easy walking distance to a few another restaurants and a supermarket. We also did a wonderful boat trip (shipwreck bay etc) ticketed by the hotel so very simple.GeorgetteAuAustralia

The hosts are lovely people, very helpful and friendly and it’s a pleasure to spend thine with them sharing stories in the shadows of the hotel’s lovely garden. Lots of fig trees around, also enjoyed the delicious figs that I picked myself from the tree 😊

Throughout our stay we only experienced great hospitality from Andreas and Martina, delicious flavors and greek food. The view from our balcony was priceless. We drove around the island so now I can safely declare that Amoudi Beach is among the best ones because of its shallow, crystal clear water and sandy shore.
