Platis Yialos is a very nice beach.
Platis Yialos is a very nice beach. There is a charge for the use of the sunbeds which is quite expensive. There is a good beach bar called Yialo Yialo. They serve good food and the staff are very nice in there. Do not go to the DK Oyster bar, this is the bar with the black umbrella's outside on the beach. They have a terrible reputation for ripping people off, sometimes for 100's of Euros. This happened to me a number of years ago and happened to another resident in our hotel this year. She was charged 500 Euros for not very many drinks and something to eat!

The beach is well organised, with many restaurant options. There’s a 5 stars hotel, with a beach bar called Branco, which was really good. I’d say that 85% of the beach is covered by the sun beds for rental. The remaining part is public, so people can lay down on the sand on their own towels. The room and facilities overall was great but not as pictured(as we booked 4 twin beds). The 2 pools we visited are gorgeous as exactly as pictured and very clean. This place is amazing I will be coming back and I recommend others do too! It is also 5 minutes from Platis Gialos beach. There is also a bus stop near by hotel which takes you to Mykonos town(about 15-20 mins bus ride). There is also a convenient store near by and some great restaurants.

Beach close to the hotel isn't really special. A lot of people, for sure not the best beach on the island, but the hotel ist really good located. Bus station direct in front of the hotel, bus goes all hour to the center of mykonos. Two of the bigger and famous beach clubs (Skorpios and Santanna) are reachable by walking around 10min.
