Comfortable, clean rooms and for European tiny rooms, it was larger than most. I was traveling with a friend and we were both able to have our luggage open at the same time. The hotel is large, not a small mom and pop Inn which I normally love but it was nice to have all the amenities and great location for walking to old Town and restaurants. Nice staff, and excellent breakfast. We traveled off season so everything was quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

It was disastrous, my wife decided to go down the town for a walk around as she was walking she noticed foreigners watching her every move and they then started to pair up and follow her, she felt so threatened that she had to go into spar shop and wait for me to collect her. Would never visit there again.

Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away.
Kinsale is a fantastic town for a weekend away. There are several excellent restaurants where you will have unforgettable experiences. The Black Pig and Finns Farmcut are amazing. Breakfast can be hit or miss, The Lemon Leaf and OHK were excellent. If the weather allows the walk out to Charles Fort is lovely, with a pint of Murphy’s at the Bulmans. The views at the Old Head of Kinsale are breathtaking, and Garretstown Beach is stunning. The tour and tasting at Kinsale Mead is fascinating and a unique highlight. Be careful choosing where to stay, as standards are not reflected by star ratings, and the centre can be noisy. Parking is challenging with two hour max at the central car park, better at SuperValu but you’ll need to move your car overnight.

We arrived later in the evening but were welcomed wonderfully. If you drive to the hotel, know that parking is only what you find on the street. Our room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was nice.
There isn't an elevator available so if you are on the 3rd floor like we were, be prepared to pull your bags up the stairs.
Be sure to book a paid breakfast with your room reservation. It was soooo good and one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks. A good breakfast gave us the energy to tackle a busy day.
Kinsale is a lovely town and even mid-week on a foggy fall day, we loved walking around.

Kinsale is a picturesque hilly harbourside town with great shops and restaurants. We had beautiful weather enjoyed walking around the town and took the harbor cruise. There were lots of good restaurants (a few require reservations way ahead), lively pubs, and various take-away food options. We stayed 2 nights, but only had 1 full day to explore the town. The roads into town are extremely steep & narrow, so we were happy to be able to park once at our guest house and not drive again till we left. Taxis are almost impossible to find. We ate at Fishy Fishy (had reservations months ahead) our first night and at the Blue Haven Restaurant & Bistro the second night. The live music was great. We heard great things about the Ghost Tour, but didn't have time for that. Parking can be an issue so make sure your guesthouse/hotel has parking. Stop at the Tourism office for great suggestions.

It is a beautiful village on a bay with an old-world charm.
It is a beautiful village on a bay with an old-world charm. It can be quite busy as it is rightly popular. Lots of local shops, pubs and restaurants, all with an authentic feel. Beside the harbour, their are two marinas, two castle ruins and a lovely beach. It is also near the beginning of the Wild Atlantic Way which runs clockwise round the west coats of Ireland. 25 minutes from Cork airport, this place is a real gem
Everything about the Blind Gate House made for a wonderful stay. The location was about a five-minute walk downhill to Kinsale. There was a large parking lot at the Blind Gate House which made it easy to park our car.
The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the best we have had on our Ireland travels (yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, cheese, freshly squeezed juice, and a hot option) My husband and I really enjoyed our stay there.
The location was perfect for exploring Kinsale. Everything was close enough to walk to. The staff were great - friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and the number of choices incredible. You could have just juice or tea or coffee and yoghurt or some fabulous cooked options. Also like that there was a pool and workout facility and parking at the hotel
One of the best Irish breakfasts I ever had in a hotel. The dinner in the evening was excellent. Both the bar and the restaurant where busy both nights that we stayed and the staff where very friendly and cheerful with everyone. Shower in room was very good and the bed very comfortable.
A pleasant hotel to stay in. Would be happy to return sometime in the future.
The breakfast was top class and served. Our room was v spacious and spotlessly clean. Everything was explained covid wise when we checked in and we felt v safe there. It was v well done. If we needed anything extra, which we didn't, we were told not to hesitate to ask. As its a small hotel it was v personable which was lovely.
The breakfast was excellent. The room was good once I realised that all the hotel used old furniture. Location was excellent - right in the centre of Kinsale.
There were very few restaurants open and the Blue Haven hotel was suggested (I believe a sister hotel) - the food was excellent.
Location! This boutique hotel is right in the heart of everything and very well appointed! Ann was quite welcoming and full of suggestions, even securing us a last minute dinner reservation at an excellent restaurant (Max’s Seafood)!
We will definitely return and stay longer!
The bedroom was bigger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in. There was plenty of space. The shower was powerful and there was a bath in the ensuite also.
The staff were pleasant and friendly. There was plenty of juices and food to choose from including pancakes for breakfast.
Owners Francis and Colm were super welcoming, informative, kind and fun! The location was the best we could have hoped for! The accommodation was beyond our expectations, as we had 2 spacious floors to ourselves with a kitchen and bath. Recently renovated, so it was pristine!
Peter and his staff were so welcoming and warm. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were spacious and very clean and comfortable. The location was right in the heart of Kinsale and a 2 min walk to everything. We loved Long Quay House!
The hotel was great - the room was very spacious and spotless.
the owner was so welcoming and helpful we couldn’t have booked a better place. The location is near the harbour and very central, making it the perfect spot for us.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel with beautiful marina view. Excellent breakfast, comfy bed, spacious. The walk to town was easier than I expected with plenty to see on the way. Wish we had spent more than one night!
Located in the heart of Kinsale, the hotel offers wonderful views of the town and harbor, and is just steps away from shopping, food and the wonderfully zigzagging colorful streets of Kinsale.
Great character to the hotel. Comfortable, warm, great location and the shower was the best shower of any hotel/venue we have ever stayed in. All in all it was great value so 10 out of 10. ⭐️
Amazing breakfast and service. Lovely location, easy walk to town. Charming rooms, updated bathrooms. This was my favorite stay out of 4 hotels/guesthouses we stayed at in Ireland.
A lovely room with an amazing view of the harbour. Spacious bathroom with separate shower. Excellent location and very friendly staff. I will definitely recommend the Trident hotel
