Great location. Close to beaches etc yet also securely tucked away in the beautiful mountains. Breakfast was amazing & most memorable mention is the host, Wayne. Felt completely at home. He’s so welcoming and accommodating. Definitely one of the best hosts I’ve stayed with & I travel a lot.

Everything was ok, the staff really need some additional training. They seem to lack enthusiasm in their work. not really putting out the effort to make our vacation memorable.

Secluded retreat. If you're looking to get away from the hustle & bustle then this is the best place to stay. Not many things to do but relax and chill. The restaurant's food was excellent, there aren't many other options for dining outside of the hotel due to its remote location but we had no complaints eating there.

The place was clean, didnt expect stove, a nice spot for a family vaca. Supermarket just opposite and close to Crown Point and Scarborough
My family and I always stayed around Crown point. This time our vacation was longer and wanted to stay more country quiet. So Castara was excellent. We did not have a favorite every beach village was a different experience. Our drive around the island was exciting.

The beach and local business around that area were awesome. The restaurants all provided great food with diverse menus. There were a couple of restaurants that also featured night-time entertainment. African drummers, Karaoke and night-time bonfire.
The culture of the village was great where you got to experience the local baking delights offered a couple of times a week, though you had to be sure to book your orders to beat demand.
A true no-hassle environment where everyone was warm and welcoming.

Honestly, I enjoyed every part of my stay at Castara Inn.
Honestly, I enjoyed every part of my stay at Castara Inn. I had originally booked a different hotel, and at the last minute I switched to Castara Inn because I didn’t get the best feeling about the first one. I’m SO grateful that I changed my reservation. The room exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was phenomenal. The room was stocked with every single thing one could possibly need for vacation. Rhonda was so sweet and accommodating even before check-in. She allowed us to check in early and check out late. She had such a beautiful energy and made sure that everything we needed, we received. They had plenty of fruit trees on the property, and encourages us to pick as many fruits as we liked. Her recommendations for activities were all enjoyable. We were definitely sad to go. We would stay here again in a heartbeat when I’m back in Tobago.

If you’re a person that loves the beach and looking for a quiet relaxing atmosphere then Castara is for you. The beach is calm, clear, great for snorkeling and kids friendly. Castara has a supermarket and small eateries that sell breakfast/lunch. The people are warm, friendly and helpful. To move around with ease, you will have to rent a car or take the local bus that runs from Scarborough.

Castara was a great place to stay, very friendly people, just watch the opening times of the restaurants, they take it in turns to open. Big bay is more lively the small bay is very confined with one restaurant but has the best snorkelling
A nice and peaceful accommodation in the middle of tropical garden and with great staff.
The resort is in a walking distance from village center of Castara, where you can have local breakfast and lunch. In the restaurant of the resort you can have dinner with fantastic view to Caribbian sun set and in the restaurant you can see also hummingbirds.
Castara beach, you have to see it as well as the small waterfall near by.
Special thanx to Porridge and Jeanell, who were able to help us with everything.
Cottage Mango in Castara cannot be beat on price (budget friendly) or location. It is a 15 - 20 minute walk away from the central hub of the village with several restaurants, the beach, a pharmacy etc. It is in a relatively quiet area with the occasional loud speaker car but the cottage is quite intimate with a lovely terrace that is very breezy; do carry bug repellant. There is hot and cold water available and the water pressure is excellent.
We stayed in Trumpet Tree (a small seperate cottage), just above the other rooms, but the same idea and facilities. It had a large comfortable bed and a great outdoor kitchen and seating area with fantastic views across Castara Bay. Stephanie and Alibaba were very friendly and helpful. The little beach below has really good snorkeling along the rocks and around the corner. Definitely recommend.
Castara and the whole of Tobago are like the Greek islands before the tourist influx from the 2010's. Peaceful bliss on a balcony overlooking (not even 10 metres) one of the most scenic beaches I have seen in my life. Simple wooden construction provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the Caribbean lifestyle. It is not for people who enjoy superficial luxury.
I’ve travelled a lot, but this place is definitely one of my favourites! Lovely decorated, the bath tub is amazing, people are so nice.. literally a few steps from the beach, and even sea views! On top of all this Castara is a lovely town, very safe, beautiful beach and lovely restaurants! Thank you! We miss It already and we’ll be back in the future :)
The hosts are very kind, helpful, and welcoming. Community in Castara is very chilled and friendly. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. You have privacy in the accommodation, the only sound you hear are the waves - what better to wish for? Beach is right in front of the accommodation. Swimming is very pleasant in Castara bay.
Wonderfully clean and well stroked space! The private beach is a bit of an adventure to get to AND totally worth it. Castara's hot spots (waterfall, beach, restaurants, etc) are a bit easier to get to by car (walking is uphill to return) but the location is still great. Looking forward to returning!
Amazing sea and jungle views from both terraces and garden, nice rooms with comfy beds, although the small front studio on ground floor needs some amendment. Very helpful host and exceptionally positive and friendly people you meet everyday in Castara village made our holiday !
Well organized and thoroughly thoughtful. The ladies think about your every comfort. My daughter loved the hammock. We also enjoyed the collection of books provided. Castara retreats gave me the reset I needed. Special thanks to Janelle and Porridge for taking good care of us.
My stay at Castara was wonderful. The host give a great speech in the beginning letting you know all that Castara has to offer. They were very welcoming. The facility was beautiful, peaceful and clean. The prices were very reasonable and I would definitely stay again
Amazing two weeks there. I highly recommend. Big thanks to "Cat", he was helping us with everything during our stay.
We traveled all over the island by car and we were still happy to come back to Castara.
We will definitely come in the future.
Basic but clean and well equipped with plenty of space. Good air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Right in the centre of Castara and close to the beach. Shurlan, was very friendly and helpful and quick to answer any queries we had.
The hotel is located very close to the beach
Rooms are comfortable and clean
The best part however is the atmosphere, in big part thanks to Roachie, the hotel's manager but also due to how the balconies are set up
The location is stunning. If you don't like typical all inclusive resorts and want to get closer to the life of the locals and the natural beauty of Tobago this is wonderful place.
Superb views - it would have been impossible to get better views to be honest! Comfortable and relaxing - great to be on the quieter little beach than the nearby Castara Beach
