Lovely, spacious, clean, updated cottage. Nice furniture, appliances, and household necessities. Perfect size for 4 people. Pet friendly. Beautiful fenced in yard with Jacuzzi Spa. The property was much nicer and roomier than we expected.

The only thing that was pleasant about this trip was the lady working at the front desk.
hotel is extremely dirty and full of homeless people. there were very few rooms available at check in and I was asked if I would take a room with out an air conditioning unit (there was a fan instead and if I open the refrigerator I should feel some relief) i ask if there was some sort of discount for the inconvenience and was told no, not since I booked with booking, had I booked with them they could have offered one. so I asked about canceling or even changing dates and again was told no, because bookings policy. so reluctantly I was lead to my room which was approx 20 feet from the front desk (remember there wasn't any key cards available) the room was very small, smelled of wet towels and the bathroom did not appear to be cleaned properly. to top it off I could hear everything that was happening at the front desk, which was a lot. music playing and guests talking.
I have been here for less then an hour and I plan on leaving when I finish this email. I would greatly appreciate a full refund for my 'stay' at the Rodeway inn on Brevard road. please let me know how I should move forward with this process. thank you

This townhouse was close enough to Ashville to visit the Biltmore Estate and other Ashville sites as well as being close to mountain road access to go drive the Blue Ridge Parkway! Good point- right on Smoky Mtn Parkway. Bad points- under renovation, very dusty, lot of space under the door, curtains did not close all the way, very messy and overgrown with weeds right outside rear windows. Not very accommodating in an emergency-charged full price only though we were in the room for approximately 15 minutes. we enjoyed our stay and actually stayed an extra night. everything we did----from shopping at ingels to getting subs from subway was enjoyable. and the scenery is quite BREATHTAKING. we even saw two hot air balloons in the morning on the way to breakfast. plus, the pool was super clean and refreshing. very friendly staff.

We found this town hard to navigate.
We found this town hard to navigate. Street work had recently been performed with the street identifying signs removed and the street signs had not been placed back, so the streets were unidentified. We got lost because of the unmarked streets. By the time this is posted, perhaps the street signs will have been placed back.

Our stay at the Gatehouse was great! The beds were comfortable, but after full days of hiking we pretty much passed out at the end of our day. One of our sons even slept on the couch and he said that was comfortable too.
