I liked how clean it was but i wish the pillows were nicer. All that said, the shower was very nice and I appreciated the workspace the was available at the front of the room.

This is a relatively new property in excellent condition with a nice clean indoor pool, a decent size gym, and a nice patio with a large gas firepit and outdoor furniture for relaxing.
All the staff were very friendly and focused on providing excellent service, especially Ryan at the front desk.
The room was clean with comfortable beds and good shower temperature and pressure.
Their breakfast was nicely stocked and above average in quality compared to most other properties that include a complimentary breakfast with your room. It's set up in a very nice self-serve buffet style breakfast room with real plates and utensils. The dining room is adjacent with a nice selection of tables with comfortable chairs.

Lawrence as a whole was an interesting town, The roads seem to go every which way and alot of hills. We went to Massachusetts street on Friday night, was not too bad but should have took a taxi or uber. The Breakout Lawrence Escape room was wonderful, a little pricey but good and 23rd Street Brewery was good food, a little noisy but good.

There was no food, only coffee. No fresh fruit. No juice.
There was no food, only coffee. No fresh fruit. No juice. Very disappointed in the lack of any food when it was offered on their site. i understand the issues of covid-19 but with that most food establishments are open and being used. It seems the hotel is using this as a excuse to not have the expense of putting out basic food to travelers.
Disliked · The love seat was ripped. The tub had pieces missing. The sheets were stained with ink. The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall. How do you stain a sheet with ink and miss that? Not enough towels. Table was about 1 1/2 ft across, no room to eat anything and about to fall apart that with no meals provided. had to go to ihop, had tons of choices of places to eat but hotel could not provide a continental breakfast? i think they just did not want to spent money on food or a employee to run it. Very sad!

The hotel is close enough to walk to the shops and restaurants downtown which is the only plus of staying here. The property is a shambles. The trash outside the hotel was overflowing and the wind carried some of the trash around the parking lot. The picture I show is after the trash had been emptied of some of the overflow. The large urns in the front of the hotel had weeds that had grown the size of the now dead shrubs. We walked outside along the river and that was even worse! Filthy dirty. You can see the neglect of this property.
Inside the hallways were hardly vacuumed and stuff was all over the carpeting. When we checked out there was no one at the desk. She was manning the breakfast area and I had to yell across the lobby that I was checking out. I never received a copy of the bill either. There are other hotels closer to downtown. Wish I had picked one of them.

The people are nice.
The people are nice. But Do Not stay at Super 8 on Iowa street. Staff at check in very unprofessional told room numbers in front of everyone in lobby told everyone that they just took over the property. In the room no information no phone book unaware of the continental breakfast which was a joke nothing deluxe about it . But the town is beautiful

Lawrence is a fun town to visit, we like walking downtown to shop and eat at unique restaurants. But there are lots of chain places, throughout the town; as well as independent stores and restaurants. We go every year for an overnight stay and go for day trips a few times a year. It is a pretty town with lots of parks and interesting architecture, nice history museum.

We got to Lawrence for family BUT it is University of Kansas town and has lots of cool shopping and places to eat. No major chains if their is a similar small restaurant which is nice. There is a wetlands that is beautiful for nature lovers. They have a huge acreage of Sunflowers that is for display in the early fall. University offers a lot too. Sports, theater and lectures. Lawrence is convenient to Kansas City area and all that is available there also.
The staff was excellent from check in to check out. Especially the young lady, Valencia, taking care of the breakfast. She is very kind and professional. The area was very clean and well maintained throughout the operating hours.
The hotel was clean, our room was very comfortable. The lobby was also ver comfortable. Loved the outdoor sitting area.
The breakfast was good. The location of the hotel was in a good spot with plenty of restaurants and shopping around it. The room was nice and had everything in it that we needed for our stay. In all it was a decent experience and I would stay in another Tru, but would explore other options.
Location is great. It is close to I 70 and a half hour walk or 5 minute drive to the downtown where there are wonderful restaurants. The rooms are nothing fancy but comfortable. It is older and doesn’t feel cookie cutter like chain hotels. You can park right outside your room.
The potato chips were outdated, the cinnamon rolls were cold in the middle and no microwave oven. I'm just being very picky. The breakfast was fine. The desk ladies were exceptional. Will be staying there every time we return to Lawrence.
I am not one to complain but this room was nothing like the photos on any website and I am extremely disappointed that I spent this much money on a nice hotel for it to be completely different from the 217 dollar room i rented.
I love this hotel.,all the staff are so nice and helpful!! Even the other guests are super nice.. we definitely will be making this our place when we visit!!.. 1 thing can you guys maybe do bacon for breakfast!!!!🙂🙂🙂
Breakfast was quite good every morning with just enough variety (we stayed 8 days). The location was great; not that far from Lawrence's fun downtown and just off Iowa St, another fun place to eat, shop, etc.
Great friendly service. It wasn't noisy. I didn't have breakfast so I can't tell you how that was, but it's a good location. I would say...like most hotels...reality is not exactly the same as photos.
This hotel is clean and quiet. Great location to stop if traveling. The experience was so good we look for Best Western Plus first when traveling to any city.
The staff went out of their way to help me during my stay, and I have never experienced such a warm welcome at any other hotel. Simply outstanding service.
