Our host Cristian thought of everything, even laying out kindling in the wood stove so it was ready to be lit when the evening turned cool. Comfortable and firm beds, great water pressure, well-equipped kitchen. We stayed in two different cabins — one had a washing machine which was very handy.

We had the smallest of the several separate rental houses at the Cabana Puemayen, but it was still huge for a couple. It has two bedrooms, two baths, a large kitchen/dining area, a large living room, and covered parking right outside the from door. The house has attractive wood and tile flooring and is beautifully furnished. The Cabana is within the town of Puerto Varas, but located off one of the several major routes into the center. The house is very secure as it located within a gated private property. To get into the house, we first used the intercom at the gate, our friendly hostess then opened the gate and showed us around the house. We found it vary comfortable and pleasant and would stay again.

It is within easy walking distance of the town with many restaurants and bars and close to the small buses running to Todos Los Santos. We stayed in the eco cabins which are on the other side of the road from the main hotel. This area is really quiet and the cabins have good views over the lake. The room was quiet, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size . There was a safe in the room. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The room was ok although it would have been nice to have a balcony with such a beautiful view. The pool was fabulous but hot tub could have been warmer . The food was amazing with a special mention for Santiago the 19 yr old who managed to produce the perfect fillet steak - it was literally perfect. Staff isn’t the restaurant we’re all lovely and really friendly. Made eating in the hotel enjoyable . Would I recommend ? Absolutely

Heat is provided by a pellet stove, one that is easy to use and which heats the cabin quickly. There are only four cabins on a large property overlooking the lake and the volcano Osorno. The property is a five minute drive (when there is little traffic) from Puerto Varas, so restaurants and shops are easy to access. The location is quiet and peaceful, and would be good for families with one or two children. The host, Javiera, is exceptional; extremely responsive and helpful.
