Nice renovated hotel keeps the original spirit. Clean, cosy with great ocean view rooms - extra money was worth it. We enjoyed some nice time by the fireplace watching otters play :) Staff is super nice and helpful.

It's a very nice hotel complex located in the city center. The pier is easily accessible by foot and opposite of the hotel is a nice diner.

Fantastic hotel! Rooms were fantastic. Great amount of space! Pool is only a leisure pool, not a pool for swimming laps in, so be aware. Gym wasn’t big but reasonable for a workout. Located a little further away from the action, but if you have a car, it’s no problem.

Great deal! The room was great bed comfy and location was really good. Staff were really friendly and they had a coffee machine were you could get complimentary coffees.

We booked this last minute on Booking.com and I was worried it was a B&B but it was a lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the town. The breakfast was healthy and fun served on colourful Fiesta Ware. The room was immaculate, spacious and charming. The staff was helpful during our stay and then went above and beyond by shipping items back to me that I left in drawer. I cannot praise Merritt House enough!

Location is excellent, staff friendly, and the room is big and has everything you need. You can spend more in the area for something fancier but the basics are done perfectly here.
