Escape the ordinary at Graycliff Hotel and Restaurant, Nassau's landmark mansion. In busy, touristy, sometimes even artificial Nassau, this is the oasis you are looking for. I can't put my finger on it, but none of the photos, not even professional ones, pay this place justice. They tend to come out "granny-style". But the house is a gorgeous colonial-style building full of antiques and lovely details. It is like travelling back in time, in a good way. The huge, lush garden with the pool (yep, that pool with the blue, painted bottom) makes you forget the crowded, souvenir shops and the dusty roads in a second.

The proximity to the ocean, downtown, and all major tourist attractions was wonderful. There are lots or terrific places to eat nearby. Our hosts were very knowledgeable and helpful with information on where to go and how to get there.

The location was within walking distance of the beach and restaurants and shopping. The area has a lot of places to stop for a quick bite or a full meal. The host was very friendly and the keys were available when we arrived.

Located in Nassau, 1.7 miles from Cove Beach, Hillcrest has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. the property caretaker Oniell's hospitality was the best we recieved in the bahamas. he made staying here an absolute delight and the energy of the place was absolutely fantastic. He even drove us to dinner and to the airport, I will be recommending this establishment to anyone who wants to meet people and make strong connections in the bahamas.
