We had free coffee, free Madeiran bananas - very hard to find on the island good to eat! - and overall the experience was great. Close to the MIUT start, near the beach, in the old center, everything was wow! If we will come to Machico again, this is our first option 100%!

The dormitory is comfortable, the bathrooms are always free and clean, the kitchen has everything you need, and the common areas are excellently maintained. The girl at the reception is very friendly and willing to answer any question and need. Thanks to all the staff at Santa Maria hostel.

I would definitely recommend this place, great value for money!
