Staying in the middle of the jungle in a hut on stilts was absolutely magical. The food was the best I had in Costa Rica. The chefs are gifted, everyone who works there was so helpful and lovely. 10/10 can’t wait to return 🙏 Pura vida

Jungle paradise! Private, rustic rooms were roomy and clean with beautiful view of jungle. Beds super comfortable. Showers with good pressure, fresh, cool water-not hot. Did not use pool.

I loved the tent/room being nearly outside, but still protected. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. Bathroom was clean. The trail was well maintained and a great way to start the day. La Tigra exceeded my expectations. I only wish I could’ve stayed one more day, but I didn’t know how wonderful it was.

Really cool experience. It's about 45-50mins away from La Fortuna city center but it was worth for us to spend a day here to get a real feel of the rainforest. They have a cool garden where they grow food. The food was really nice and breakfast was also really good. We had a perfect time in this lodge. We also did a night tour with for $15/person which was cool. We booked this when we checked in. Saw a bunch of frogs, sleeping birds and a snake. People shared that it's hard to get here due to the dirt road and how steep it is which had me concerned but its really not that bad. There is one section of the road which is steep but a corollla/camry can get through no prob. You dont need a 4*4 for this although I see how it make make some people more confortable. All in all a really great experience.

Cabins totally in the forest. Very clean. Excellent meals prepared when possible with local if not their own products. Very welcoming ambiance. The staff (front desk and restaurant) are very nice, very dedicated, and do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. To live Costa Rica, you have to stay there!

So. Very. Peaceful. With the quiet hours, and the feeling of being right in the jungle, this was the best sleep of our trip! Safari style tents (feels dreamy, like we're in a movie) on platforms, out over a small canyon of rainforest... Sleep to the sounds of the jungle. So open feeling, but totally safe, bug nets, comfortable beds, hot water, and electricity. Wifi only works at the restaurant (great food!!!!!) but that's part of the charm. No distractions! So. Many. Frogs. Red-eyed tree frogs, and others, can be found right outside of the restaurant!!! *4x4 to get there is a good idea. *Maybe don't come here for parties, and it's not a good place for loud ppl in general.
