The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Carmen helped arrange rides to different locations. Felt safe in the gated complex with security on site. Loved that it was away from the bustle of Cabarete, but still could walk there along the beach. We had the pool to ourselves most days. Access to the beach area was convenient. The breeze on the balcony was wonderful. Having our own kitchen and living room was great. Most days we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

The Dulce Vida complex is located on the west corner of the world famous, "Kite Beach", near Cabarete. Cabarete is located 15 km from the Puerto Plata Gregorio Luperon International Airport (POP) and 60km from the International de Cibao Airport (STI). The Dulce Vida apartment complex consists of 20 rental units over three levels. Each unit has its own balcony overlooking the pool, the apartments located on the first and second floor enjoy ocean view. The common area consists of a large pool surrounded by a stone deck and smaller garden areas. Across the street we have access to a large walled garden area with beach access. This space is available to all guests or can be rented to organize events, weddings, reunions etc. . Each unit has an assigned parking area. Individual storage lockers are available to long term rentals. The apartments have ceramic floors, PVC double glass windows/patio doors, ceiling fans and air conditioning and are furnished. All doors and Windows have insect screens. Kitchens are equipped The complex has friendly staff, 24 hours security, 24h electricity, free communal or paid private WIFI and laundry services.
I am a Spanish expatriate that moved to the Dominican Republic 25 years ago and worked as a chief financial officer for a large North Coast hotel chain. Now retired I continue to enjoy our countries tourism and love to meet new people. I own several rental units in Cabarete and live within 5 minutes from the properties so I am available 24/7 if the need arises. My husband Eric has lived in Cabarete since 1982 and is one of the original Cabarete windsurf, kite and scuba pioneers, he too is retired and is my technical right hand , he keeps busy with repair and maintenance. Life motto :), live and let live.
Dulce Vida is located on the west side of the world famous kite beach, a 5 minute walk puts you right were the action is. Nearby we have also a lot of non profit organisations that host a variety of international staff. All this makes up for an interesting mix of energetic people and ambiance. We are located on the # 5 highway in between Sosua and Cabarete. Inexpensive public transport moto taxi, cars and transport vans pas right in front of the complex and private taxis need 5 minutes to get there.
