Unplug from the city to soak up in nature and experience Casita Mística at El Mistico Ranch which sits at 7,300’ elevated mountain & 30 acres of natural high desert land with natural spring waters, nearby Lincoln National Forest as our next door neighbor, you are actually just a short drive to Capitan for basic services and shopping; Ruidoso for arts, golf, dining, skiing, and more. The climate is mild here and the property is vegetated with pinon pine, juniper, and a variety of cacti. The space “This is the perfect place to visit if you want to pretend you are Georgia O'Keefe, or if you want a true New Mexican experience of a rustic adobe home. Nogal is lovely, and we used this home as a base to visit Apache del Bosque National Wildlife Preserve, White Sands, and Valley of Fires. There is also a petroglyph site that isn't too far. Rustic is the word, so understand that, but also appreciate the past that this home holds, and the experience of staying in an authentic, historic adobe home could offer. Also understand that, rustic as it is, it has been update in many lovely ways. It was a one-of-a-kind experience.”

At just a year old, Chester is a gentle giant with a heart of gold, spreading joy to all who visit. Chester not only brings warmth and joy to our guests but also plays an important role in taking care of the property. He roams around the ranch, ensuring that everything is in order and providing a sense of security to our guests. Sometimes, he even accompanies guests to their units to ensure they arrive safely. If you have any concerns about Chester before arriving or during your stay, please let us know. If you're planning to bring your own furry friend along, please inform us in advance. Some of our units including Ashley's Treehouse are pet-friendly, while others are not. For the safety and comfort of all our guests and animals, we kindly ask that all pets be kept on a leash outside your unit and also no pets are allowed on the furniture. (One pet is the maximum for Ashley's Treehouse, Crow's Nest, Silver Bullet and Casita Mistica) We understand the importance of ensuring a comfortable stay for you and your furry companions.
