Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWould be nice to have a kettle to make some tea or hot water. But they do have a machine downstairs in the lobby.
Great location, close to all the main attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

United States of AmericaThe side of the hotel that we stayed at didn't have an elevator, but at least our room was only one flight upstairs.
Seriously, the coffee machine opposite the front desk was really good. The fireplace in the lobby was great and the check in clerk was very helpful in giving suggestions for restaurants. Finally, the hotel has a parking lot which was really helpful.

AustraliaDespite putting out the make up my room sign each day the room was never serviced in the four days we were there. We don't need someone to make the bed or change the towels but the rubbish bin was overflowing by the time we left and the floor needed sweeping. The bathroom should have been cleaned in that time also. We saw the cleaning staff on the floor but they did not enter our room. This was our only disappointment with the hotel.
The location was excellent, right in the centre of the old town, close to everything. The room was a good size, very clean and comfortable. It had a couch as well as a table and two chairs. Coffee was always available in the reception area. Unfortunately the tea provided was a very poor selection with no straightforward black tea. We didn't use the breakfast.

CanadaCleaning of the rooms could have been better. Forgot to clean glasses. We were not told there was no parking. Breakfast was good. No big deal, but turkey/chicken sausages would have been nice. It was fine though.

NetherlandsWhen travelling by public transport and getting off at Youville, be prepared for a fairly steep uphill walk with the luggage. Breakfast was (in my case) not included so I paid CAN$15 extra per day for breakfast, which was OK and plentiful. My rooms did not get automatically maintained during my 3-day stay (probably hotel policy - it wasn't much of a problem). The elevator was often so slow that most of the time taking the stairs was a lot quicker.
The location was fantastic, right next to the inner city. The room was decorated in a surprising style with a stylish tub, nicely decorated walls. Heating was comfy, just like the bath tub, and with outside temperatures of -10 C that was pleasant. Staff at the reception were super-kind and helpful throughout my stay.

United States of AmericaThe parking was very limited and it was costly. You have to pay for parking at $24. Booking through Priceline I had no idea I had to pay for a spot. In order to park we had to use public parking and walk to the hotel.
Location was perfect!!! Within walking distance of all the main streets and cafe's, restaurants, the château Frontenac.

CanadaThe rooms are a little tired, which isn’t a negative but it is obvious that it may be time for some updates, especially in the bathrooms where there was some cracked grout. One thing to consider is booking direct with the hotel. You will get access to reserve onsite parking and breakfast included in your stay.
The location of this hotel is incredible. Right in the middle of the action of Quebec City. On site parking is a plus and there is a cheaper 24hr parking garage just down the road. There’s dozens of restaurants within 3-5min walk, and you’re not far away from major sightseeing locations either. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Additionally the fact that we were able to bring our dog with us was a major bonus.

CanadaOutside front entrance could use a refresher. Sink countertop is on small side. Very slow elevator which runs almost silently.
Great location at a reasonable price. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast with fair but not great choices of medium quality. Hotel comfort OK. Dimly lit bedroom with a finiky TV controller. Bathroom worked well and was clean with a good shower. Free coffees from machine in the lobby.
