Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNo hot tub and bath jets in our bathroom weren’t working. No laundry facilities. A kitchenette would have been great as we were there for 5 nights.
Location was great, the log cabin style building was cosy and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Fire in the lounge room was beautiful.

CanadaSnow conditions. But you can’t control that. We came to ski but decided not to spend the $. Hiked, snowmobile and cross country all excellent. The jets in the bathtub did. It work.
The lodge was lovely, staff exceptionally friendly. Bistro food was very good. I would suggest that the breakfast could have some more cold options other than cereal and toast. Local bakery products, boiled eggs, fresh local bagels, (loved the homemade granola BTW), fresh muffins rather than packaged (over processed). It would be nice to have an infra red Sauna and a hot tub to make the lodge experience more valueblen for money.

CanadaWe have stayed here a few times over the years and was disappointed with some of the changes. They don’t have a hot tub anymore. It was so nice being able to hang out in the hot tub after skiing. The guy said they might be getting one though. They also won’t let you access the bar/restaurant from the hotel side so you have to go outside which just sucks. We also liked the bar that was there more than the “bistro”. Bar had a great atmosphere and was tons of fun after skiing. We were also there for 5 nights and they never made up the room.
I love this hotel because it has a cozy family feeling. Get place for a family ski trip.

United KingdomMake sure you take supplies with you. The cafe’s and bar at kicking horse mountain resort were very expensive. Whistler and the eagle eye restaurants offer much better value for money which was a shame I didn’t expect to pay more at these resorts over whistler. The bar/restaurant in winston lodge i believe is only open during ski season. This place isn’t really staffed very well, you are given a number to call jf you need anything and told the answer phone is checked regularly. We didn’t need to call, but I wonder if having staff around makes it all feel a little more welcoming. No daily checking of rooms, changing linen empty bins, cup exchange etc..
This is a lovely quaint property. Very quiet . Good self serve facilities - shared lounge with toaster microwave kettle water dispenser basic essentials- cutlery etc. in your room is a fridge and coffee maker. Beds very very soft, lots of very hot water for bath, shower not working. Very quiet.

IrelandLoved everything, comfy beds, nice bathroom. We are Europeans so took a minute or two to figure out how to lock the door! Everything else was easy to use. Facilities in the surrounding resort were great and we enjoyed eating there in the morning and on one of the evenings as the bar/restaurant was shut on the Monday, but we just ate in Golden before we headed back to the resort.

CanadaThe facility is getting older and things needed repair, for example the door on the little fridge's freezer compartment was broken and fridge ran constantly, sliding screen door needed lubricating, wasn't working too well, just some general maintenance needed.
Staff was VERY friendly and helpful, location is good and place was very quiet.

SwitzerlandThere is nothing much nearby in terms of eateries/groceries and the room only has a coffeemaker. There is a microwave and kettle in the common room but it would have been great to have a sink as well and a stove given there is not much around to get fed.
It had really peaceful vibes about it and was located close outside of the village close to many hiking trails. It felt really homey and cosy

Staff is friendly. The loft with two single beds is great for kids. Downstairs is a queen size bed. Overall, the premium loft is good for a family of 4. It in the mountains, so it is very quiet. Lots of hiking trails nearby.

CanadaLimited offering for breakfast around the ski area in the pubs. The refrigerator was defective and all the food we put inside froze.
Friendly staff. The room comes equipped with a refrigerator and offers access to dishes and silverware. Coffee, water and tea are also provided. The hotel has ski, board and boot storage areas, which include air ducts for drying boots at the end of the day. The food in the hotel pub is good (Although the pub is closed Monday and Tuesday).
