Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaBeing a converted monastery the rooms are somewhat smaller than you might expect but very comfortable, warm and cozy with a lot of period character. Loved it!
Best homemade breakfast prepared by the host with 5 star personal service. Menu never repeated itself during our 4 day stay. Fresh juice, coffee, entree of fruits, main course of perfect dishes such as french crepes, soufflé fromage… plus choice of side cheeses, deserts and muffins. You will want to skip lunch after this.

CanadaThe music being played in the main room could be heard in our bedroom. Had to turn it down to minimize the level of the sound being heard in our bedroom.
The breakfast was excellent on both days. Richard, the host, even made a special breakfast for one of the guests who had certain food allergies. Close to the downtown so was able to actually walk to the various shops and restaurants.

CanadaLe Petit Clocher is one of those places that travellers always hope to find but rarely do. This converted monastery is truly a treasure, filled with beautiful antique decor and art work throughout. Located just a short drive from town and up a slight hill the view of the mountains is magnificent. The historic space is so charming and cozy. Our room, The Chapel, was spacious with a very comfortable 4-poster bed and a sitting area. The host and owner, Richard, is a consummate gentleman, who takes on the enormous task of doing literally everything on his own: cooking, presenting and serving wonderful breakfasts and ensuring that the place is kept immaculate. Richard has thought of everything to ensure the perfect experience. We spent two nights there and are eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

United States of AmericaNot a single thing. Everything was beyond expectations.
This is the first ever place I've stayed in which felt like a fairytale. Everything was beautiful, hand-picked decorations which meshed well together, and we sat at a table like royalty. We ate multiple courses for breakfast, everything was amazing and described by Richard the host prior to us digging in. The bed was pretty comfortable, so many pillows, the view out of the window was mesmerizing. The jacuzzi was a great way to wind out after a day of exploring.

CanadaThere was not anyone thing that we didn't like about the actual place except the traffic in St-Sauveur on a Saturday when we arrived was terrible and Coffee shops like Tim Horton and McDonalds were either not opened or very slow short of staff for the number of people they had to serve.
The breakfast was good except hopefully there could have been a few more choices but all in all it was fine. The owner was a very friendly person and we had some very friendly conversations with him. He is a very soft spoke individual with a very subtle and down to earth sense of humor. My wife and I felt very comfortable speaking with him. This is just what we needed for 1 night getting away from all the noise of a big city like Montreal and Laval

CanadaThe coffee wasn't quite up to our standards and it would have been nice to have some healthier options at breakfast, but we still found the meal wonderful
Everything! The decor and attention to detail was stunning. The location atop the hill overlooking the valley of St Sauveur, and hearing the bells till on Sunday morning, was gorgeous. We walked into town for dinner (an easy twenty mins) and biked the next morning for coffee (five mins). The breakfast was decadent and delicious, and the hosts warm and kind. We will definitely be back!
