Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe only downside was that, because it is a basement apartment, there was little-to-none natural light in the space. This may not matter much to visitors who are out and about during the day, however.
My hosts (who lived upstairs) were most gracious -- they greeted me on arrival, helped me to sort out parking, made sure I was comfortable, and let me know that they were available to help with anything during my say should I need it. The apartment was private, well-equipped and very spacious. I had everything I needed for a very comfortable stay. I would recommend! From a values standpoint, it is wonderful to have opportunities to support this type of small, family-run business.

CanadaI found it dark and that is not the fault of anyone. There were cobwebs in a few places although the suite overall was very clean.
It was close to many things. There was free parking. The unit is very spacious. It was very clean. The owner was very respectful and kind. The shower is very large. The suite is well equipped.

Extremely clean property. In a quiet neighbourhood just off a main road with lots of eateries. Hosts met us and gave keys and showed us over the property. Very friendly and not intrusive at all. Bathroom was huge and even had a selection of shampoo and conditioners etc for use.

CanadaNo toaster. Alexi needs to have a toaster on the counter for guests. Other then that, fully equipped kitchen and great for making breakfasts.
Location is great. Very close to main street with shops / restaurants. Short bus ride or 15 minute walk to the nearest subway stop. Located in West Montreal. The best of Montreal is still accessible from the location. Hard to beat this value for the money. Clean and newer washroom. Primarily used it as a landing pad/place to sleep between outings over the Formula 1 Canada GP weekend. Would stay again.

IndiaThe place could be cleaner. It felt dusty.
The location is near Shrebrooke street and easily accessible by bus 105, which makes going to Vendol metro station 5 minutes. 20 minutes by walk. The host was very helpful and provided clear details on the parking and what is available on the property.

CanadaThe entrance was somewhat awkward i.e. down some steps, two doors and a turn and would have been challenging for those with accessibility issues. The ceiling was low ... it was a basement afterall ... and there were water pipes suspended from the ceiling as you would expect. They were of course clean and painted silver. They would however have been a constant menace to those who stood over 6 ft 2 in.
This was a large one room basement apartment with its own entrance from the street. It was in a very old building that had undergone extensive improvements. It had a complete kitchen with all appliances. It was scrupulously clean. A spotless large bathroom. Fireplace, stereo, turntable and records (!), couch, mini-bar, desk, table, etc. And a laundry room with free access to the washing machine. No dryer. A wonderful location for a short or longer stay. It was not what you could call “modern” ... instead it had a charm and warmth that was more than adequate, especially for the extremely reasonable price they asked for. Honestly, it felt more like a BNB than a hotel except that the hosts in this case left you alone. Very discreet.

CanadaThe bathroom doorknob was kind of broken from the inside, which was frustrating. There also is no light to easily turn on when you enter the unit, so you have to wander around in the dark a bit. But neither of these things were major issues for me.
I loved everything about staying in this unit. It was easy to check in, the location was great (right near transit and lots of shops, restaurants, and the SAQ), and the unit itself was very nice. It had a fully stocked kitchen, a washing machine, tons of space, a really nice bed, and an excellent internet connection. I will 100% stay here again when I'm in Montreal again!

CanadaCommunication with the owners was difficult. No email contact and when I phoned, no answer and no voice mail. Musty smell in the entrance. Dark, very tiny window, but it was a basement apartment and they had ample lighting.
Location was perfect. Amenities around the corner and very close to Monkland Village.

Friendly host. Neat & quiet place. Big bathroom. Comfortable queen bed. Easy parking. Uncomplicated check_in &out. Close to downtown. This place is certainly recommendable to those who want different experience than staying in a Hotel.

CanadaMy I booked this place for my girlfriend and I, and the pictures online are much nicer then what we actually walked into. I am not saying it was a complete dump, but my girlfriend and dubbed it no bueno. It's not one thing that made this place bad but a bunch of little things. When you walk in you are greeted by a very humid atmosphere that will make it near impossible to sleep with no AC in sight, their are 2 little fans to help but aren't enough. The next thing was is that the wood flooring and paneling flex so much from night to day that the noise will make you think someone is walking around constantly. the owner does have access to the rental area obviously but I definitely heard a door open to my unit in the middle of the night (there is 3 entrances to the place and only 1 where we had a to). If you're thinking you can sleep through the humidity and cracking floors, I challenge you to sleep in the bed they provide, it's very unforgiving and fragile at the same time. Since we're talking about the mattress, we should also talk about bed bugs that we're in the bed in the morning and my girlfriend having bites all over here in the morning. The bathroom is the nicest thing about this rental but it does have a window in the shower that you can see a room and a staircase leading to a door... so that's uncomfortable. I think I covered everything, thank you for reading my review.
