Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNothing to add..
It’s more of a resort than a motel.. it’s classy, clean and designed well. Well thought of in decor. BBQ area is lite up with white lights. They have ice outdoors. Blankets if you’d like a fire. The water here is warm. There a great swimming dock with a ladder. Dog friendly. Would be a great central sport to discover Nova Scotia. More to do at the lighthouse than staying at a “motel”

CanadaThere should be a sign telling folks that the shower is “backwards”. The cold is really the hot water and vice versa. The chain lock on the door needs repair.
The location is superb. Mark was pleasant. The room was nicely laid out for convenience.

This location thought of EVERYTHING, It was beyond beautiful! However, the only down fall is when you want to go over for a nice dinner in Bridgewater then you can't have a drink to get back to the motel. The owner was amazing and drove us into town but finding a way back we had to ask the locals. The town of Bridgewater doesn't have any reliable cabs. During peak season a shuttle for this property wouldn't be a bad idea. This property does have everything you need to have dinner there! The location is absolutely beauitful!!

United KingdomSome might feel that the price is quite expensive, but I felt was worth it!
I can’t fault this hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The area was peaceful. Even though there were other staying at the hotel (many with dogs) it still felt quiet and cozy. My room had little kitchenette which had all appliances I needed to make my own meals. On a more personal note … I recently have been having treatment for throat cancer and was slightly dreading travelling alone (for just a few short days) from the UK to Canada to sort some paperwork. It can be exhausting and I am still in pain and have to do mouthwashes and jaw exercises throughout the day. This tranquil hotel gave me the peace and headspace to be able to do all that I needed. I am going home very well rested and more recovered from the treatment than I have done in a long time. THANK YOU!!

CanadaIt's a motel, so no on-site food or anything. But it is very close to Bridgewater, which has a bunch of decent food options.
Very well decorated rooms with a super comfortable bed. Nice waterfront location that looks fantastic. One of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in.

CanadaWe were very happy with everything. I would advise looking into good dinner options before hand if you’re arriving after a long drive, getting back in the car for even 20 minutes felt like a lot, and if you have particular food restrictions you might struggle on a Sunday evening for example. When you check in they do provide you with a great list of recommended spots in nearby towns - that proved helpful for us, so that was nice.
Beautiful spot, extremely well-maintained and super clean, lovely grounds (ping pong table, communal grill, firepit, shoreline, deck, Adirondack chairs on the lawn) and well designed and well thought through rooms with kitchenette. The beds are very comfortable and good quality bedding/linens. I liked having the option of ceiling fan or AC unit since those units do make noise (unavoidably). The price is higher than other motels, but once you arrive you understand that this isn’t just any old motel. We loved having the kitchenette after a lot of restaurant meals, and it was clean and well equipped.

United States of AmericaNothing. It was really perfect.
Everything. Staff was exceptional. Rooms are adorbs; not your mainstream decor. Loved the wood floors and wood tray ceiling. The kitchen was well provisioned. Trish was forthcoming with extra activities. She shared info for a FREE ferry that crossed the LaHave River in the way to Lunnenberg-the scenic route, for sure. That was very cool. This is just one example of how they go out of the way to please. She also gave us a heads up on a pontoon boat ride on the LaHave River, leaving from the hotel. We could not make the appointed time. 😔. No problem, Captain Jim gave us our own private boat ride. He was very knowledgeable about the river and the people. It was the highlight of our stay. Beds were very comfy. Trish went the extra mile to make sure our stay was extra special. I would book a stay here again and again and again. 🫶

United States of AmericaWould have been nice to have more space for hanging clothes. There really was no closet for that as the armoire contained the refrigerator and microwave.
Lovely setting on the river. Very relaxing to enjoy sitting under an umbrella reading looking out to the water. Beautiful room with a comfortable bed. Very friendly welcome from Trish. She gave us tips on the ferry and local sights. I hope we can return and stay here again.
