Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Wife in wheelchair. Lift very tight fit for wheelchair.. Had to take her out of chair and stand and narrow the chair.

I would like to compliment the reception staff at this hotel for their helpfulness, and eagerness to support when we had any questions. They are very friendly and so approachable which is an extra bonus for this hotel. Great location and clean.

considering it was a room for 3 people (two single bed and one very squeaky folding bed) was hoping we would have more room! But we weren’t in it long so wasn’t detrimental to the stay

the pool area doesn’t have any sunshade by the sun beds, so you can either get full blown sun or only shade. the terrace in the apartment was the same, there was no shade. we’ve been in one of the other apartments and in that one, we only had shade in the terrace.
we’ve stayed here before (in one of the other apartments) and we like it for what it is. the location is really nice if you are looking for a beach holiday, if you are more into sightseeing, then I wouldn’t recommend it as it is a hassle to get around with public transport. that goes for la carihuela in general, not only this apartment.

the bed in living area and no balcony.
staff were very good,clean,pool area was good and you were allowed to take your own food and drinks to pool which was great. The food and drinks were great also.

Bed is uncomfortable, can’t close bathroom door and the fan makes huge noise.

We found it hard to fault them in point of fact. The two lifts in the block were a little small, and the wind on the balcony could be quite strong but this really is only nit picking..... and hardly much they can do anything about.
These are a tallish block of apartments situated 2 mins form the beach . The apartment we had was on the 4th floor overlooking the sea which was brilliant,The facilities in our room were excellent, The decor was modern, IKEA style .... and there were plenty of chairs and tables to sit on, and the bed quite comfortable for us . The fan above the bed was good too, with an added bonus of a modern air conditioning unit which really did the job, The maids changed the linen twice a week. The shower was very good . It includes a small balcony. Reception staff were relaxed, and access to a small pool was easy. The place even had a small library. It had its own bar and terrace downstairs.

One minor fault, the sliding shower door is flimsy and difficult to open and close (room707)

the comfort of the beds and pillows were a bit thin , the sunbeds by the pool were in need of tightning and maintenace or replacement but the pool was clean and good
the location and reception staff were excellent ,the onsite restaurant bar service has improved well since previous visits,the pool was clean and good

The superior studio with a sea view photo’s on Booking.com were slightly more lavish than the room we actually had, so a little misleading. Rowdy neighbours at 6am spoilt our first night, but settled after that.
Location was good. Staff absolutely marvellous, couldn’t have asked for more.
