Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe public rooms are overly large and sparingly furnished.
The hotel appears to be targeted at large parties of people - that said, it is well run with helpful staff. An important point for us, it has secure Parking for €10, essential for our heavily loaded car with a soft top roof. It is in the only central Rosscoff hotel with this facility.

United KingdomNo kettle in the room. But as this had been noted in reviews before we came prepared with our own.
Brilliant location. Lovely staff, especially the wonderful lady who organised the breakfasts. Such a kind, friendly person who made us feel very welcome. Sorry I never got your name but you were exceptional. The room was light and airy, with a generous sized and comfortable bed. We loved the “rainforest” shower in the bathroom.

United KingdomAn electric kettle in the room would be nice, to make hot drinks (coffee).
The staff were friendly and helped us find our rooms, and the property is lovely. I especially liked the old floors and furniture found in the common areas of the building, and I also thought the garden was beautiful.

United States of AmericaBit of a long treck along winding corridors and staircases to find my room. Breakfast was a bt basic and the dining room a bit austere - woudl be super nice in the summer outside.
Very nice place to stay, rooms were super comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful

United KingdomNothing.
From check in to check out, it was perfect. The staff are amazing and super friendly! The breakfast was lovely and the hotel is literally 5 mins walk from the town center. I would highly recommend this little gem!

The room was nice, a little bit small but o.k for one night. The facilities were basic but had no coffee/teamaking items. Parking close to the hotel was difficult and restricted from 8am to 7pm. There were other car parks within a short walk but I don't think they were free. However, the hotel was close to the town centre with a number of cafes and restaurants within quick and easy walking distance. The hotel reception was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

United KingdomSatnav mystified by roadworks so we went a very long way round, resulting in a collision with a hidden concrete bollard 100 metres from hotel. Desastre at start of our stay! Car most unhappy. Hotel might provide an egg boiler at buffet table.
Very pleasant 2 staff members we met , reception and breakfast.

United KingdomNot a problem, but the hotel was a bit "tired" in decor, etc.
An unpretentious hotel with warm, welcoming staff and a convenient location close to town centre. Street parking was not a problem. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast - food and service - was excellent.

United KingdomUnfortunately the main part of the hotel including the bar and conservatory (which gives access to the garden) was locked at 20.00 hours. Also avoid having a room at the front of the hotel because the street can suddenly be very noisy in the middle of the night from passing traffic. Rooms at the back overlook the gardens and are presumably quieter.
Very nice traditional hotel that has undergone considerable restoration. I first stayed ther about 30 years ago so it was nice to go back. Downstairs is beautifully restored with appropriate furniture, large dining area, conservatory and wonderful walled garden. Super safe storage for bicycles. Pool table in the entrance area. Excellent breakfast (11 Euros) served from 07.30 9 - even on Sunday).

NetherlandsThere is no elevator, fortunately we were given a room on the ground floor. Still reaching the entrance required negotiating a flight of tricky stone stairs. Street parking is limited so we had to go to a paid public parking, fortunately nearby.
Pleasant and sympathetic hotel in a beautiful building in the old centre of Roscoff. Helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and adequate (not exceptional) breakfast. The entire place makes a welcoming impression.

United KingdomBar shuts at 8pm (and that changed to 7pm on the Sunday). No information in the room re breakfast/bar open times. One final thing, the hotel were kind enough to arrange a taxi to pick us up from the port but when we asked for a return taxi.. Taxis were all booked up... We had to walk with our cases to the port. Maybe when they know that you are booking a taxi for pick up, it would be great to give a warning regarding how busy the taxi service is on ferry days?
Lovely old building. Great location. The gardens were lovely too. Breakfast was typically French with breads, meats, cheeses, yoghurt which was nice and reasonably priced. Very pleasant staff who spoke English.
