Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Fantastic place, host was wonderful, breakfast was lovely, especially the Crepes with homemade caramel sauce, all preserves home made. If you need any information on places to visit, the host is always ready to help.

AustraliaWifi is a bit hit and miss inside the room, it has a better signal in the dining room.
It is a charming guest house located conveniently to Mont St Michel area, only 12 min drive. The room is reasonably sized with a separate toilet and bathroom. The bathroom is a bit small but functional with towels heating rack. Hot water pressure is excellent. Shared kitchen allows us to cook something simple. Breakfast has lot of varieties of bread, jams and cakes, but they are too sweet for me. Sensor lighting in the car park is very helpful when you come back late at night.

BelgiumThe soundproofing wasn't great, but I think that's probably the case in most older houses.
Lovely host, very responsive. The decor was quirky and the children enjoyed the playground in the gardens. Amazing breakfast with lots of homemade treats.

Fleur de Sel is located in a quiet village on the polders within easy cycling distance of Mont Saint Michel. The hosts, Mary Jo & Thierry, are friendly & very helpful. Their local knowledge made my sightseeing so much more enjoyable. And did I mention, their breakfasts are AMAZING ! Every morning there was a huge spread of local produce with home made crepes & jams.

United KingdomDue to being near horses, the property does get a few flies and the electric fly catcher wasn't powerful enough to get them. The WiFi was patchy at the property. The upstairs room has no window so does get hot. There is a fan but could do with a second.
Marie Jo was very helpful and pleasant. She spoke english hut was happy for me to practise my french. The property is good value for money considering the location to mont st michel and is in a quiet area. The property is beautiful and quirky with horses behind. It was very clean with plenty of room. The breakfast was gigantic with an extremely varied selection.

Czech RepublicThe location is not accessible by public transport. If you travel by train to Pontorson, be prepared to pay around 20-30€ for taxi.
The House itself looks and feels very warm and welcoming. The breakfast made by the landlady was delicious and generous. Especially the crepes. Our room was cosy, bright, and well equipped. They do a really good job at keeping every last corner clean. We also borrowed bicycles for the whole day, and it was for free. Definitely the best way to enjoy picturesque countryside and Mont Saint Michel. I noticed many board games in the breakfast area. We were too tired to play, but there were some good ones. We really enjoyed our stay and are already recommending it to our friends.

United States of AmericaA few things might need adjustment - doors/cabinets catching on floor or ceiling, etc., but this is minor. There was also a slight musty smell to the bedding, but it was not enough to bother our sleep.

Very friendly host who gave us a top tip to Visit Mont St Michel in the evening. Best advice as it's so quiet and peaceful. Great sunset shot too. She booked us a table for evening dinner in the town as well. Charming place to stay with a real family feel plus a wonderful breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

BelgiumThe apartment while charming as a cottage, technically has only one proper bedroom, while there is also an open loft in the mezanine upstairs, but then lacking somewhat privacy even with curtains. Perhaps this set up is more suitable for a family with kids, but not two couples travelling together. Toiletries provided consisted only 2 small bars of soap, no shampoo.
Very warm hospitality from the hostess, impressive breakfast spreads, absolutely love the freshly made crepes with salted caramel butter :) There is an easy route to visit Mt St Michel as well which is very convenient and off the main roads. There is a well equipped small kitchenette, with fridge, microwave, kettle and Senseo coffee machine with pads. They even provided the basic cooking essentials.
