We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend La Merveille.

The host was very friendly and attentive. Our dog was also made welcome. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of everything. The accommodation was warm and comfortable. It is convenient for places of interest such as Le Mont Saint Michel.

Amazing place to stay on your way to Le Mont Saint Michele. Roger is a fantastic host with a great sense of humor. In the evening there a shared space downstairs to play the table football by the chimney and enjoy a glass of wine or beer. This creates a very cozy family atmosphere. The breakfast was absolutely great. Scrambled eggs with bacon and fresh croissants with fresh berries and fruit + corn flakes or chocolate balls and yoghurts. The mansion itself is a very authentic place that is worth visiting itself. I highly recommend it.

We arrived quite late and Roger was super chill with that. He also recommended us a lovely restaurant in a nearby town to have a delicious dinner and it didn't disappoint! In the morning he was super generous with a great breakfast spread and kept offering us more coffee and food if we wanted, it was really nice of him! The room was cosy and the perfect size for me and my partner, beds were comfy too! The other staff were all so friendly too and seemed a really nice atmosphere with good banter, which we had with them all too! Would definately come stay again if we come back to Normandy :) Thank you.

Roger is very kind and full of Scottish humour. He gave us good advice to find a restaurant in Avranches. The breakfast was really great and the bed very comfortable. The restaurant next door "Au coin des amis" is nice. Simple food but cheap, nice and welcoming staff and very close to La Merveille.

The room could use a bit of maintenance with some shelves/stands barely holding on but nothing drastic.

Excellent and friendly host. Easy communication and check in, with beer and wine ready to meet the tired guests. Beautiful vintage place, nice and quiet surroundings. Excellent breakfast. Can't beat the price. Pet friendly! Definite recommendation, perfect for your Mont Saint Michel trip!

Roger is probably the best host you can get. He clearly is the best one I had so far, and I'm a frequent traveler. The bed was really comfortable and I loved the old style of the building. I would recommend anyone without hesitation.

Very idyllic accommodation. The owner Roger is very nice and attentive, you are warmly welcomed here. The rooms are friendly decorated and clean. The breakfast is very tasty.

We had no issues with our stay, the accommodation or the service from our host. It's an old barn and as such has some, in my opinion, beautiful features and quirks which some people may not like, but it suited us very well.

Roger was very welcoming and extremely helpful when it came to knowledge of the local area and where to go for dinner. Breakfast was excellent too.
