Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This was my second stay at the property and I liked it even more because of the location, great value for money and excellent staff at the reception. I had breakfast and it was pretty good. The hotel is close to many metro stations and the airports of the city are not too far out from the hotel as well.

My favourite hotel in Paris. It was already my second time at Haussmann Saint Augustin. In my opinion, the hotel has one of the cutest rooms in Paris (also not too tiny which you are normally used to in Paris). The staff at the hotel is always very helpful and welcoming. The location is amazing: Walking to the Louvre doesn't even take 10 minutes. I will be back for sure.

Nitpicking (because they were nothing really to dislike): the bathroom was a little tight, but still fine; not many restaurants in the immediate vicinity (but as I said, everything is accessible via Métro)
The hôtel is very close to Miromesnil, and thus the rest of the city is easily accessible via Métro (and of course by transfer to the RER lines). I had breakfast in the hôtel one morning and thought it was quite nice.

If you have a big luggage, there is no place to open your luggage because the shelf for luggage is small

The wifi signal in the room was sometimes not perfect, but otherwise no complaints!
The location was perfect, and the room had all the amenities for a great stay. Despite only having a single bed, it was very comfortable and perfect for one person. No noise from the street, and very clean facilities.

Breakfast was very basic and didn't feel the pastries were fresh. Would skip breakfast of book without breakfast.
Room was small but comfortable. Bedding, pillows etc were really nice. Bathroom was clean and great water pressure in the shower. We stayed for NYE and the location was perfect, we didn't need to try get crowded Metros as it's walking distance away from the celebrations.

The wifi was poor. Unfortunately.
The staff were incredibly friendly from the moment I arrived. The room was clean and quiet. I missed my checkout and the staff were kind enough to manage my luggage without any complaints. Simply very kind and generous. I strongly recommend this hotel.

We had nothing to note that we didn’t like from our stay other than the bathroom could’ve been a little cleaner.
The hotel is okay if you’re planning an “on the go” trip. The rooms are small but we didn’t mind this at all as we were only really there at night. Although small, our room was lovely and done the job for what we needed. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is really well connected and is only a few minutes walk from a metro stop that will take you towards the Eiffel Tower or to Parc des Princes if you’re going in the opposite direction! However many attractions/sites are within a 15/20 minute walking distance if you don’t mind the extra cardio.
