To be fair, I think we were literally the only clients that night. But absolutely no-one around on arrival. Had to ring and wait some time. We had to pay before she gave the key, and then we never saw her again. If we had a problem, not sure if anyone was there overnight. The room was very very basic, the double bed small .

The location - fabulous. The building exterior- beautiful. The bathroom in our room - lovely. The restaurant-waitress was super, really chatty & friendly and our food was delicious.

If the breakfast could have included oats, fruit and plant based milk, we would have been content with that.

My husband and I are vegan so unfortunately, there was very little we could eat. The coffee was good though.

On entering the hotel it was very dark and on entering our room it was so 'dated', embossed magnolia painted walls, avocado bathroom suite, NO AIR CONDITIONING. Room size was good although furnishing was minimal.

good swimming pool. building very attractive externally. restaurant decor old fashioned but nice. The local lake and nature reserve was good and the main reason for our short stay. Also convenient stop over on the way home from southwest france.

Family room had strange set up, 2 doubles and a single, instead of say a double and three singles. Bed's were not child friendly as the had no sides and young children could easily fall out in their sleep. No Aircon. Service was a little slow and surly.

Generous Buffet Breakfast at €9 per adult. Good location. Quiet at night.

Can be noisy it’s close to a main road. Rooms are very old fashioned in their furnishings.

Convenient location for stop over en route to south of France. Ample free parking. Dog friendly. Close enough the lake, Troyes and other interesting towns for brief visits. Hotel & Restaurant staff very welcoming and friendly.

Reception is tired and belies the clean and fresh bedroom.

Emergency stop over after our van broke down and was towed to the garage around the corner. Comfortable, clean room with a great shower. Possibly THE best and most French meal ever in their restaurant next door - 4 courses for €35. Pool looked lovely too but didn't get chance to use it as my swimming costume was stuck in the broken van! Close enough to walk to the nearby lake which is beautiful . And Troyes is only a short distance away. Would stop again - only a short distance from the autoroute.

The rooms need to be brought back to life. A new management could do wonders with that place but guessing that it's a family business and hanging in there.

Some Logis have offered a complimentary water, tea making facilities and a mini fridge. While we don't expect all those things , they are very welcome for travellers. Our main disappointment was dinner. All lovely except the steaks ( E25) each were cooked to a frazzle, although we asked for medium rare ( a point) ! But the starter and the wine were very good and portions were generous.

The hotel is conveniently situated for driving towards Mont Blanc. The room was comfortable and clean, bathroom had a lovely shower. There was a super pool to use.

Wish the temperature of small pool had been higher than 10 degrees. You certainly cannot do laps to warm up...and babe, it was cold outside...

Such a quirky country farmhouse, still unsure as how they manage to keep it all so tidy and clean. Restaurant serves good local food/dishes and beverages.

No lift and the secure parking was not available but the regular parking was fine.

Lovely ancient buildings, with beautiful old oak furniture in the bar where breakfast is served. We had a refurbished room with modern bathroom fittings. An independent hotel where the proprietors work hard to maintain a sense of the past as well as striving to compete with current expectations. Also very convenient for the Lac d'Orient.

Sometimes the personnel reacts a bit odd. Still very friendely by weird. Probably due to the fact that it is located in "La France Profonde"..

No lift! We were on 4th floor; not a problem for youngsters but a bit more challenging for us older folks.

Was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant; traditional food but very tasty and good value. There was a heatwave and despite no air conditioning hotel was fairly cool.

Would have liked to keep my bike in the room rather than leave it in the car. Would have liked a kettle and tea / coffee facilities in the room too.

This was an overnight stop for me on way back from the Alps to Eurotunnel. Hotel is clean and tidy and close to the Grand Lacs (Orient, Temple and Chantecoq) on a main road. Didn't have very high expectations as only wanted a bed for the night and an evening meal. It was OK, not great, but OK. Facilities were pretty basic compared to similar price hotel I stayed at in Saint Jean de Maurienne (which had air con and a mini fridge in the room).

Breakfast was basic and expensive for what was on offer. Mini golf was poor, and not included in the price of stay - €5 per person.

rooms very hot, no aircon and no portable fans available even though temperatures during my stay were up to 37C and only dropped to 27C by 3am, impossible to sleep as so hot. no fly screens so if open windows during night get bitten by mosquitoes!!!
