The rooms were comfortable and perfect for our family. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect, right in the heart of the town. We were able to park our car right outside the door of our room. We only stayed for one night.

I thought 8.50 euros for my little dog to stay was a bit pricey.

The location is great, as one can walk anywhere, very comfortable bed and vert clean.

Town & location wonderful . Hard to sleep at night with bright outdoor light , no windows , dark . We thought easier with bags not to carry luggage up narrow stairs. Definitely our error not staff

Parking is limited - there is good parking nearby, however a drop off point would be useful (we were staying with a baby and had a lot of stuff so had to use the disabled bay).

Nice staff, helpful including recommendations for food. Spacious and well equipped apartment. Amazing location. Excellent value for money.

The apartment was a bit small for two + dog, but it was enough. The price doesn't include cleaning service and there weren't any utensils for cleaning.

The location a little out of the central part of the beautiful Basque village was a perfect. Just a short walk into a good number of restaurants, cafes and shops and yet still remarkably quiet at night.

We were there for five nights. The towels were not changed until we asked, aftre three nights. This turned out to be an oversight by the cleaners - reception were very apologetic and gave us new towels immediately.

It was very hot during the summer and without a breeze it was difficult to sleep. The fridge seemed to be struggling and the door was hot to touch, which indicated it likely needed replacing.

The town of Ascain is lovely and we were comfortable on Hotel Alaia. The location is good, a short walk from the main square and parking was available directly outside.

No actual parking on the spot. The public parking is off the premises (a mere 30m away), but no monitoring. Breakfasts could have been included in the total price. The wi-fi was good but only last a few minutes. It needs constant reconnection.

It is a very quiet little hotel nestled at the foot of the mountains. Very clean with lots of charm. The breakfast is pretty good (local products) and considering that it is a buffet, plenty to eat. The public parking is great with plethora of free spaces. Hikes start right off that same parking. Because the rooms have no A/C, I asked for a fan and the lady behind the counter provide me with one. Our room was spacious and quiet, away from the road. Good mattress. The bathroom was large and clean. Our room was acrually in an adjacent house (Maison Maïtena which allows us more independence).
