However, I must unfortunately say that I was disappointed with the condition of the bathrooms. They were dirty, and the floor was constantly flooded with water, leading to moldy showers. The hygiene conditions were unacceptable, and the bathroom was practically unusable. I unfortunately felt reminded of places I've seen in the poorest neighborhoods of Africa. Furthermore, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, which is another lack of basic hygiene. Considering these circumstances, I cannot give a positive review for Hotel Sylvabelle

As a guest at Hotel Sylvabelle, I'd like to share my experience. The location of the hotel was superbly central, which was a huge plus for me. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making the stay enjoyable.

Our first room there was fill of trash, bugs and insects. When we asked to change the room they gave us another room, it was much cleaner but both rooms had some technical problems in the bathroom.

The bathroom had rat holes under the shower. Noise all the night (voices). Materass wrapped in plastic and blood on the sheets. Strong smell of fresh painting.

The bed was comfortable, except for the fact that the materass was wrapped (under the sheets) in plastic. The position it is only five minutes walking to the main port.

My stay was in a shared bedroom, on the ground floor, where anybody from outside could enter to the hotel. Then, the bathroom was really ugly and not clean.

No locker rooms are available in the hostel premises to keep your staff safe, otherwise, you need carry-on them with you. I slept on a bunk bed that shakes up with every movement, it was not a static one and the bed's frame seems a lousy quality. You will not be able to lock up the toilet and shower doors in the male dormitory while doing what is needed to do. besides, there was not any toilet paper available or given. There is no shower handle to take your shower properly, while my stay from June 9th to June 13th, the shower hose is handle-less which is terrible to take a shower with. The shower room is tiny and comes with a thick layer of grout on the white tile edges, in addition to that, the shower curtain system is completely broken and needs an urgent replacement.

The staff ( front receptionists) were very helpful and friendly, they will offer you to keep your valuable belongings if you wish. I came to check in at 23:45 and they were available. The living room is pretty wide and you can enjoy watching French TV if you desire

There was no maintenance done in the room, all was old and not repaired. There were no curtains and no way to stop the light from the street - we had to ask for towels as there were none in the room and there was not even toilet paper - we asked for it and they gave us one almost finished for 3 people.

Very dirty bathrooms and showers which were not cleaned probably for weeks. No soap or any cosmetics at all and even when you approach the receptionist with a request to put toilet paper in the bathrooms, you shouldn't expect to receive it within the next 24 hours. No option to get or even rent a towel. No duvet covers as well. Most showers and toilets have no light and sinks leak. The wi-fi was broken during the half of my stay. No security on the ground floor so literally everyone can enter the rooms of the dormitory which leads to cases like that of another guest whose bag with important things was stolen.

Water was dripping from the shower constantly. There was no door to the bathroom, so everytime someone went in at night, the lights were on and you could hear everything. My pants were stolen. The kitchen was closed.

I met some friendly people and the beds were comfortable. Friendly receptionists.
